    Congratulations RickR!

Congratulations @RickR on your ULTIMATE score! I want to thank EVERYBODY for participating in our little event this year, and for celebrating the life and works of Howard Scott Warshaw who went for so many years without recognition, carrying "the blame" for the video game crash. I hope doing HSWDAY once a year is a fun way to break out these old games and appreciate them for what they are. I hope everyone had a good time playing Ultimate Yars!. Congrats to @RickR @greenween @atarilbc @TrekMD @kamakazi20012 and @Atari Creep for being among the most elite Yars' Revenge players! I'd like to encourage RickR to post his new high score on the Scoreboard, and maybe this Challenge can continue on!
Our next High Score Squad Challenge will be for the TurboGrafx-16!

Whoops!  Chas10e let me know that the manual for Blip football was hiding in the Skiing box.  He's the master at efficient Tetris packing.

    Here is what I took.
First of all, I feel that this Elmo's 123's was put in there specifically for me by NSG.  If so, THANK YOU.  It looks good next to my Elmos' ABC's.  And it reminds me of my oldest child when he was a toddler.  Priceless.

And here's the bulk of what I took.  I feel like the PSP games were in there for me, and I thank you, mystery giver, for them!  Does anyone else collect for PSP?

I really agonized over the Wico 5200 stick.  It's so cool, but I feel selfish for taking it.  At the same time, it took up a lot of real estate in the box!  NSG or Willie, if one of you would like it, I'm happy to ship it to you separately.
The football homebrew is so cool!  It's a 2600 version of the Mattel handheld football.  In case you don't know, I'm the weird gamer that really loves sports games.  So that game and the SNES baseball will be played a lot.
I also hogged the 2600 games, figuring Willie and NSG probably already had them.  The boxes are a little rough, but I really dig the price tags.  Activision Skiing is a game in which I earned the patch, so having a boxed copy is really nice.
Oooh, and an NSG card pack.  I'm hoping for a few Oregon Duck players in there!
Below is some stuff I took mostly to get the space for more games in the box.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if anyone wants any of this, I'm happy to ship it separately.  Given that, the Star Trek book will be read and enjoyed, I promise.  And I really like the ESPN movies.  And the multi-system cable is handy.

Lastly, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you.  Especially NSG for hosting the box.  It really is a lot of fun.
The box is stuffed full again, and I'll get it out to Willie as soon as I can.

Sorry for the delay.  I'll have pictures up soon.  I'll be honest...I could keep every single item in this box.  It's that good this time.  Really nice job, guys.  Reluctantly putting a lot back now.

Arrived today.  It's hard to see, but the dot-matrix address label is a nice feature from chas10e!

I'm slammed with work, but I'm going to try to get this out on Wednesday.  Willie is next I think.

This is my strategy for the whole game.  Shoot em mid air only.  The score racks up pretty quickly.  But it gets really hard when that stupid dash starts flying around at full speed.

RickR reacted to CrossBow in McWill LCD Upgrade for Atari Lynx
Wanted to mention that I recently did a BennVenn LCD upgrade in a clients Lynx II. It is a much simpler installation as only one easy to remove component has to come out and with the new brackets for the LCD they essentially drop in easily now to replace. Still requires nearly the same amount of soldering, but it is all along one side and area of the Lynx II making the installations look cleaner overall.
The picture from this newer LCD is softer but I think I like that more. It does show horizontal pattering across the image but not enough to really detract from the game at all. You can adjust the brightness levels of the BennVenn LCD but on the one I did the changes were very subtle and I'm not sure it needs it.
But yeah, for roughly the half the cost you can get excellent output from a Lynx II with the new BennVenn kit.
