Wouldn't do me any good...I only have super tennis and I wouldn't have that if not for RickR. F-Zero challenge would be nice.

So I was going through my collection the other day doing some reorganization and I came across my copy of Defender for the Atari 2600 and it realized I had the price sticker on it and the price sticker that says Pep Boys on it. I had no idea that they sold video games at pep boys!

Kid A reacted to Justin in High Score Squad - How To Play
High Score Squad is a semi-monthly competition comprised of high score contests called "Squad Challenges". Players compete individually for the highest score possible.
Squad Challenges can be a monthly event, but are typically posted on the 1st and 15th of every month. Play lasts through the end of the 2-week competition when a victor is announced, and a new Squad Challenge begins.
Play is open to all Atari I/O Members. You do not need to sign up for Squad before posting a score.

    Objective
Play for the highest possible score using the difficulty settings defined in the challenge. Post a photo of your score in the challenge thread. The player with the highest score at the end of the 2-week competition is the victor.

Your integrity is everything. Be honest in your gameplay, difficulty settings, and reporting of scores. Submitting a false score will result in a lifetime ban from this site.
Play using Difficulty Settings defined in the challenge.
New Squad Challenges posted on the 1st and 15th of every month.
Submit scores within the time limit defined in the challenge.
Flashback/Mini consoles & Emulators ARE allowed ✔ Part of a winning strategy is determining what works best for you.
Cheats & Rewinds are not allowed under any circumstances. Cheating will result in a lifetime ban from this site.
Submissions must include a photo or video of your high score.
Screen captures will not be accepted as they are easily manipulated.

    Eligibility
Anyone can join in. All players are welcome!

    Rounds
Play ends at the end of the 2-week competition. After the specified cut-off date no further scores can be submitted. There are no seasons, playoffs, or "Points" to carry through to future Squad Challenges. For tournament and 2-Player free-play please see 2-Player Battle.

    Play Rules
Games may be played on real hardware, Flashback / Mini console, officially released compilation, or emulation, using any controller or keyboard, following all rules and game settings defined in the Squad Challenge. Choosing between real hardware or emulation, and choosing which controller to play on is part of formulating your strategy. Enhancements, rewinds, updated and hacked versions of the game are not allowed.

    Emulation & Dedicated Consoles
Yes, we ARE allowing for the use of emulators, EverDrives, officially released compilations, and dedicated consoles (Jakks Pacific joysticks, Atari Flashback, Nintendo Online, Mini consoles, and others). This is to open Squad Challenges up to as many new players as possible. We want to foster the love of classic games, encourage new players, and create a fun environment for everybody!
A second reason is strategy. There are advantages and disadvantages to emulations vs. real hardware. Part of formulating your strategy is determining if you'd have better luck on a dedicated console, emulator, or real hardware. All options are available to you. This is a matter of STRATEGY. It's up to you to select your weapon of choice.

    Fair Play
Your integrity is everything. Players should play fairly, be honest, and have fun! Falsified scores will result in your immediate removal from the site. It goes without saying that we will not allow cheats, hacks, cartridge frying, enhancements, rewinds, deceitful photo manipulation, subterfuge, or any other dishonest advantage. Everybody hates a cheater.

    New Scores
Scores must be achieved during the time of the Squad Challenge. Submitting your old high scores defeats the spirit of High Score Squad and is not allowed.

    Rolling Scores
We count rolling scores. If you roll a score, keep track of your rolls and post your best score. We are playing on raw scores.

    Be Honest, Have Integrity
We're operating on the honor system. I trust that you are all submitting verifiable scores, and we'll be able to spot a Photoshopped image. Dishonest players will be disqualified.

    The Credibility of Your Score
Posting a YouTube video of your game goes a long way to substantiating credibility. A photo of your score is all that's required, but we strongly encourage recording your gameplay if you can. Especially if you have ridiculous skills and can claim to have rolled the game eight times. We want our contests to be open to everyone, but it's important to be open and honest about scoring. Using your cellphone to post a photo of your score to the forums should do the trick! Posting a video of your gameplay on YouTube is even better!
Photos can be uploaded and attached to your post. A YouTube link can be included in your post to show a video of your performance. To include a YouTube video in your post, copy your video's YouTube link and paste into your post where you want the video to appear. Your video will appear in your post where you pasted the link.

I didn't realize these were made by ATGames. That's pretty much a deal breaker for me. Guess I'll just stick to my modded NES classic for playing Atari games in HD.

They were $18.88 at Walmart. Thought it was weird some units had more games as others.

A few pictures from the short time I was able to attend.  No access to the vendor area today.  But holy frijoles, the arcade/free-play area is HUGE this year.

I played a lot of pinball.  For whatever reason, I really dug Williams' "Space Shuttle" and played that a lot.  And I had a blast doing that.  I also played the "sit down" cabinets they had.  Pole Position being a favorite. Badges this year are made to look like NES carts.  And a picture of RickR there at the end.  I was unable to meet up with TrekMD or KidA as I had to leave early for work.
