Who needs the Video Touch Pad to play Star Raiders when you've got a Nintendo Zapper? This is the real way to play Star Raiders!

I also took this little guy, who needed some repairs! I'm beginning to regret it...he won't shut up about borrowing my phone.

Wow...so 81,060 is the current high score. Gee...I better drink lots of caffeine-induced sodas or LOTS of coffee.
I'm going to try to capture video for this one. My setup is kinda crude and something I believe Frankenstein himself would be proud of
7800 is hiding in a small cubby hole, just big enough for it. This was a LOT of work to setup but I'm going to give it a shot. The only sounds heard will be coming from the game itself.
I hope this works.

extra guy @ 20k?
I played with a pro-line (ball mod on right) and noticed both guns and bombs fired at the same time.
I held controller sideways with index finger hooking the fire button on the bottom. unlimited ammo unlike the guys in origonal Star Wars who didn't want to waste a shot at the escape pod holding the droids.
I figured you could use any stick or pad for this if that's the case.
it's also interesting to note that the difficulty settings are screen-selectable and the manual switches are only for backward-compatibility with 2600 games

The 7800 is a great system regardless of its sound limitations. Any 8-bit console that can handle over 100 sprites without breaking a sweat means there was some serious engineering going on...and something that is very much missing from today's technology.
Other than the games already mentioned, and I love Food Fight, I would recommend Pole Position II and Robotron 2084. The latter really showcases the 7800's true graphic capabilities. Ummm...Ballblazer...definitely get Ballblazer. And the 7800 probably has the best Ms. Pac-Man port I've ever seen, even out doing other Atari consoles and computers. Commando is good as well and I found Tower Toppler interesting but that one might not be for everyone. Asteroids remains my top favorite on this console. Some 7800's had it built-in so you might turn your console on without a game to see if it is there.
I would recommend replacing those Pro-Line joysticks with something that is not hand cramping. Those things are torture devices for sure so I would recommend getting your hands on some of the EuroPads that Atari made for the system.
But, get Xevious first so you can join us in the Squad Challenge!!

I tried Missile Command on my Harmony cart , (think a playable demo) and it was fantastic.
there were basically 2 trak-ball models for 2600 , the cx-22 & the c-80 , the coding I guess had to be different for each model but some cx-80 needed the cx-22 ROMS , I think Albert @ AA discovered it's easier to put both ROMS on same cart. but I am not sure.

he did at one point show a teaser of some boxes for these
I would imagine other trak-ball games such as Centipede are just as responsive as their arcade counter-parts
