jmjustin6 reacted to Atari Creep in Hyperkin - Retron 77. HD Atari 2600?
So now that we have had time to play with our units I would like to know about any issues you may be having with yours.
Hyperkin had to replace my unit because a cart connector pin came loose. I have had my replacement unit for about a week and it too is having issues. The unit will not register left on ANY controllers I know work on other systems. (I tested as I went.) The joystick it came with no longer controls to the left or right in any system. Maybe it's just my bad luck that I keep getting faulty units. Sad that a brand new modern piece of tech cant hold it together but all my original consoles have ZERO issues.

Dang youve got alot of lynx games. Its probably the system i have the least amount of games for. I just dont ever find any games for it in the wild. I find alot more game gear games out here.

So I decided to start making separate videos covering my collection one system at a time.
First up, my Atari Lynx game collection:

jmjustin6 reacted to Atari Creep in Cool acrylic Pinball table
It is at Canobie Lake, right in the center of their Pinball room. No chance of playing it, I tried. lol I say go to CLP to enjoy the Scream Fest fun (if its your thing) and then go spend some time with it as I did. hahaha I studied it for almost a half hour from every direction and wish I had taken more images of it. At the end of the day it is just a Pinball table but one that is very unique and just fun to be around.
Now I sound like a weirdo. hahaha And I am ok with that.

I couldnt find a pinball section so if I missed it I'm sorry. Figured this would hebthe best place for this.
I was at a local amusement park tonight for their Halloween goings on and every time I go there I hang out in their large pinball room for some time. This was on display and cant remember if I had seen it before. Roped off so I didnt get to try it out.

Our Goodwills here have a return policy. 14 days, you can return it for a store credit. But you must leave the price sticker intact.
It does not apply to media. So CD's, DVD's, and disc-based games are "as-is".

My wife and I will do the Goodwill run once a month or so. We usually hit 1 or 2. Some of them are farther away, but usually have much better stuff. You just never know what you're going to find. She likes to look at dishes, and has found some pieces that we love and use and others that are worth a ton and we've sold. The last time we went, I found an XBOX game and a really nice desk chair (which I'm using right now).
The hunt is a little harder these days...but still worthwhile.

It's always exciting to find the PS1 games mixed in with the CD's at Goodwill.

5 Goodwills?!
There are only like 3 near me. The others are in neighboring towns and would be 30min drives separately to visit. Even then, they haven't had anything good in several years as they were instructed some time ago to send most of the video game stuff to corp to be placed on the auction site.
In fact I would say that at least half of the thrift stores we used to have are now closed up and those buildings are different businesses completely in the past 3 or 4 years now.
We have a decent flea market each weekend, but those vendors look up the value of the stuff and still think they can get ebay pricing for it. Sad thing is that some people must be buying the items or else they wouldn't continue to keep them priced that way.

the Goodwill's 'round here for most gaming stuff have them bagged & tagged with "Goodwill tech certified" label & pehaps a bit overpriced IMO
they DO have a decent return policy so I suppose that may have something to do with the items being checked somehow. but I'd prefer the "curb & gutter warranty" ..... once it hits the curb, you got-'er

A bunch of recent finds from a variety of sources.
Coleco Pac Man came from a toy show (see my post in the "Tabletops" forum if you can help with replacing those missing stickers). The Atari carts came via a trade with nosweargamer American Chopper 2 came from goodwill (I know...it's probably terrible...but I like yelling. My money says this game has a lot of yelling) Boxed Blue Max came from a facebook purchase. One of my favorite games of all-time. Getting a complete copy is very exciting for me.

Just picked this beauty up for a great price. Given that im in ATL ive got a friend that works in tv and i had him look at this thing and he said no doubt this thing was probably hanging in the Turner Broadcast studios. Somehow im gonna try to prove this with paperwork (not sure how to do that) but man im stoked!
