Yeah, it was essentially Sega's version of The Legend Of Zelda. It's actually pretty good, although it's very rare. How many spin off's were there for Golden Axe?
So the SMS exclusive was an RPG?
The spin-offs of Golden Axe include Golden Axe Warrior, Ax Battler: A Legend Of Golden Axe, Golden Axe - The Duel, and Golden Axe: Beast Rider (most people say spin-off, but some say main series).
-
Mario first, then Sonic, then Pac Man, and finally, Frogger! I'd say in order of importance and popularity, that's how it should be. Anyone else agree with me on Frogger?
-
I think you might be confusing that with Ax Battler: A Legend Of Golden Axe on Game Gear. Golden Axe Warrior was an SMS exclusive.I've seen Golden Axe warrior on Game Gear here in UK.
-
The last officially released game was Sonic The Hedgehog here in North America. Lots of great PAL SMS games only came out on Game Gear here such as Master Of Darkness, Sonic Chaos, and the Streets Of Rage games.

Sonic 2 on Genesis

If you already want to get a Genesis, save space and money and get the Power Base Converter.
It plays all the card games except F-16 Fighting Falcon (which hasn't got good reviews)!
I don't know why a lot of gamers think it doesn't play card games.
There are also 3 or so games that need the regular SMS controller to works like Wonder Boy 2 and Shanghai. Most other games play perfectly with the Genesis controller.
What I might do is get the Power Base Converter first, and in a few years or so, buy a real SMS.

My vote would be for the real Master System, it's a great console and very under rated in my opinion. Give it a try, if you don't like it you can always put it on eBay.
If I do get one, I know I'll love it

Somewhere it needs to be in writing, or at anytime the author could lie and claim they never gave you permission. And technically, all music is copyrighted the moment it is written, even if not registered.
Odds are, if he said you're ok, you won't have any issues, since he will most likely never put in a claim. However, there have been many legal problems that could've been prevented if there was something in writing, even if it was a saved e-mail.
I'll do that then, thanks

Just make sure he gives you a document saying that you can use his works. It might help you in the future to have that in writing should YouTube decide to challenge you for copyright reasons. Better if you can stay ahead of the game.
So what you're saying is, I need a document from mario64remix even though he agreed that I can use his uncopyrighted music?

Last year, I made the difficult decision, Sega Master System or Dreamcast. As you probably already know, I went with the Dreamcast, and I love it. This year, I'd love to get a Sega console that I don't have. I decided to skip the Saturn and SG-1000 to buy a Master System. Before I do that, I need a new Game Gear and I could really use a Model 1 Genesis (I have a retro bit system for Genesis games). So I'm wondering, should I get a real SMS for authenticity and card games, a Master Gear for portability, or the Power Base Converter (I believe that's what it's called) to play SMS on Genesis?

I use music from mario64remix in some of my videos. I should probably see if he could make a MIDI remix of Open Your Heart as well as some other songs that I'll need for an upcoming project.
-
I'd love to get one sometime. I almost bought an original Macintosh once.

Question is, how do the bigger channels get away with this? Don't most companies know about them using their music? Why don't they do anything?
-
Most people on YouTube use 8 bit and 16 bit music in their videos. I'm guessing this is legal since even big channels like Pat The NES Punk and Cinemassacre do this. What I'm wondering is, is it legal to use a song like Open Your Heart from Sonic Adventure? As you probably already know, I use 45 seconds of Open Your Heart for the intro of my Dreamcast Gamer series on YouTube (although it's not just Dreamcast videos for the series). Does anyone know if this is legal or if someone might make a copyright claim if they hear it in my video? I'm not monetizing my videos in case that helps.

So what you're saying is you guys don't experience this problem once you clean the contacts?

I've seen this with the 3 M Network games I own (Astroblast, Lock n' Chase, and Super Challenge Football). When I push the reset switch, I get these weird red lines scrolling down the left side of the screen and I hear a faint buzzing sound. I know that different games do different things while you're holding down the reset switch, but is this at all dangerous to my 2600? I know that Ghost Town from Xonox has one corner of the screen that looks deformed when you hold reset. Are these problems at all dangerous to my Atari, of am I safe to play these games?

Since you are a fan of Christian music, here's me and the Mrs with someone you might recognize. Also the shirt is a (somewhat) obscure Christian prog band.
They look familiar. Who are they?
-
I remember when the Christian music store in Winnipeg closed. It closed mainly due to bad parking, but the building was amazing. I got a lot of great music from there. They closed back in 2014, but reopened in a dfferent location a year later. Although I'm glad they're back, it just isn't the same.
It's always sad when a store from your childhood closes.

Altered Beast was a good pack-in title. It wasn't awful. It wasn't great. But it was pretty good. A much better choice for a pack-in game than its rival Keith Courage on TurboGrafx-16 which did nothing to make you fall in love with your new console.
Keith Courage was a decent game, but it doesn't sell the TG-16 like Mario and Sonic did for their systems.
-
Yeah, you're right. I had no idea it had such a poor reputation. Maybe it's because the Genesis kind of took off once they switched the pack-in game to Sonic. Maybe because it's kind of slow and chunky-scrolling. Whatever. I'm going to keep playing and enjoying.
Yeah, the scrolling isn't very smooth.
Would you collect Atari porn games from Mystique/Playaround!

If I saw these at a flea market, I'd laugh and then walk away. Even if they're collectible, I'd rather not have Custer's Revenge on my shelf.
