Maybe this is a little gross to say but I do this all the time. I bet a lot of people do. Am I the only one? I think it's some kind of weird leftover strand of Neanderthal in our DNA that makes us curious about our own scent. And it's weird how you can cup it in your hand and keep it there while you scoop it up to your face, like the air doesn't really escape your hand. Sorry if that's gross but we're all guilty of it at some point. Just a random thought.

Yo-Yo got a reaction from Arenafoot in Atari National Pac Man Day is April 3rd (1982)!
Here's what Kotaku had to say, kinda snide but never the less:

Thirty [three] Years ago today, Atari had the balls to proclaim an entire day, hoping to lift its iconic Pac-Man character alongside the likes of other people who have their own day. Like, you know, Martin Luther King. And Jesus.
The fact it was only celebrated by video game fans and Atari employees for that one year says a lot about their efforts, but hey, you've got to at least commend them for thinking big with their PR.

Atari National PAC-MAN Day was minted to celebrate the home console release of the arcade classic. To Atari's credit, they actually put on a bit of a show, holding public events at certain locations with things like competitions and the chance for kids to shake hands with a man dressed in an uncomfortable Pac-Man outfit.

Alternative Game Controls # 1- Sensor & Touch.    Looking at some aftermarket alternative controller options for popular Gaming Consoles. I will be showing a couple Turbo Touch 360 gamepads by TRIAX for the Sega Genesis / Megadrive as well as the Suncom Sensor for ColecoVision and lastly throwing in as a bonus (it is not really in the same category being more like a Intellivision DISC) I will look at the Quickshot NES QS-126 for the Nintendo NES.    Kevin Dean Twiner Youtube Channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCRU4LtQ60T5RcyT0WNt6Q9g google+: https://plus.google.com/116351497197962037806 Facebook https://www.facebook.com/kevindean.twiner   Suncom Sensor ColecoVision: http://megalextoria.blogspot.ca/2013/04/suncom-joy-sensor-for-colecovision.html Triax 360 Turbo Touch  http://www.wikiwand.com/en/Turbo_Touch_360 http://www.cheating-game.net/cheat-code/-of-the-triax-turbo-touch-360 http://gaming.wikia.com/wiki/Turbo_Touch_360 Quickshot NES QS-126 http://www.rfgeneration.com/PHP/gethwinfo.php?ID=U-027-H-00500-A http://www.justgovintage.com/product_info.php?cPath=22_37_39_73&products_id=4064&osCsid=cordije77essupptfshbjpiqa6

Hey all:  Today was the day for the Cowlitz Gamers for Kids show in Longview, WA.  That's about 50 miles away for me, so I decided to go.  And here are some pics to share.

It's a great cause, but the show is pretty small.  They're in a new space this year, and it seems much smaller than when I went a few years ago.  No arcade games to play was kind of a bummer.  But they had some really nice sellers, which was fun.

This was the free-play area.  No real exotic systems, and it was pretty small this year.

An overview of the booths.  Lots of cool stuff here.  There was one Jaguar for sale ($150!  A little too rich for me), a Vectrex, and bunch of the more modern Nintendo stuff.  Good deals on systems.  A boxed Odyssey 2 for $40.  Atari 2600's for $50.  Sega Genesis seems like the low point of collecting these days...$10-$20 will get you a nice Genesis at a show like this.  Find a show like this if you want a particular system!

Trophies for the Super Smash Bros Brawl (Gamecube) tournament.

WOAH!  Look what I found.  Yes, I did come home with it.

Atari carts can still be found.  Which is good.

    More overview

Atari Pinball!  That knob is exactly the same as the VCS paddle knob.  Nope, I didn't buy it.

Someone decked out a VCS in pirates' booty for the silent auction.  Very cool.  Reminded me of the Swordquest prizes.

More Atari stuff.  Good.  Can't let Nintendo have all the fun.

    Action figures too.

It was a good show.  I didn't stay long thanks to a sudden migraine.  Plenty of fun.

So it's not just clear Atari Jaguar shells then, it's a new retro system? What games will they have? What makes it different?

A group of folks purchased the molds for the Atari Jaguar. Both console and cart molds. They plan to create a NEW cart based console where you can once again collect NEW carts for it. I posted a link to a video that explains it all, well what there is to know. (Link below) I will be covering the progress of this new system. The Creep is excited and so should you.

I have always liked the Atari Jaguar since its inception and release. Even though it wasn't a commercial success, I know that it could have been so much more. I own two Jaguars and two CD units. They are my dream machines, even though they are retro. But, that's OK. I think that, in time, the home-brew community will create some dynamite games. In many instances, they already have.
