  1. Also likely not entertaining but I took this moments ago 🤷‍♂️

😜Well, time to clear the junk drawer and toss this CANADIAN TIRE MONEY. No, this isn’t official Canadian currency, well at least it wasn’t outside of a Canadian Tire store but these coupons are ancient so time to trash them.

PS - my mother-in-law (who lives in BC) just moved to a new apartment building that doesn't have the storage areas in the parking garage.  I'm happy about that.  Like you, they also had stuff stolen at the prior building.

It was a good video.  Thumbs up.  Tell your wife nice job on the camera work 🙂

    She appreciated that 😉

@MaximumRD This was your best video in FOREVER, Rob. This takes me back to your early videos in the late 2000s. It's great to see you happy and enjoying life :donkey_kong:

Ah well thanks so much Justin. I sat on that unboxing video for like 3 weeks, was not sure I wanted to relate all the details I had only shared with like 2 people, I am very private in personal matters, I didn't plan to say all that stuff in the video, so I considered trying to edit out the theft details but I don't think it would have worked so then I considered doing a new video but I thought expaling why I now had a 3rd Colecovision would have been weird, it was all such a hassle so finally I decided to just upload it as is, glad I did, everyone has been really nice with understanding comments, from some youtube comments it seemed to strike a nerve with someothers that lost items either through theft or damage, I didn't want to do a feel sorry for me kind of thing but reactions and comments has helped me dealing with it to be honest. As my wife knows I am very private when it comes to personal details not like my out there "MaximumRD" persona in real life.

  4. Story Time: Unboxing a replacement for my favorite 80's game console.

ITEM unboxed purchased from RETRO MTL in Montreal Canada. Great prices, slection and service by gamers for gamers! I could not be happier with my purchase and highly recommend ! https://retromtl.com/
This is from a few weeks ago now, I did not upload right away as I been going through some personal things and honestly, was not sure I was going to upload this in the end OR edit it leaving out certain "details" regarding some bad events but I have decided the hell with it. Sharing all the details on why the console needed to be replaced, it's not a good reason. I had only shared this previously with a few real close friends in messages as I tend to keep certain things personal as well as I don't like to dwell on bad things in my channel but well, sometimes it helps sharing and getting things off my chest and some of you have been with me for years so in the end I have decided to just upload this video and all the details including the story that goes with it. It's a long one and it was literally unscripted as always, I didn't even know I was going to share the details once the video started or if I'd simply let it be about the unboxing but it just sort of came out and I guess thinking about it there was a reason for it. Thanks for watching as always. Take care. Sincerely Rob aka MaximumRD.

  5. Yikes, lot going on there. Really don't know why people still using things like McAffee, Windows Defender is good enough these days. Perhaps reinstall or reset Windows. IF these errors are due to file corruptions COULD be your hard drive is failing as well.

  6. A tribute to/remake of the classic game Atlantis, drawing most inspiration from the Intellivision version, with the added benefit of the saucer converting to "middle turret" mode while parked and stationary.   It's a simple endless survival game -- when diplomacy fails, how many days can you keep your city alive the invading Medusaen fleet?

  7. Here I finally get around to a Beer that's been sitting in the fridge for some time. Please watch my impressions of this interesting looking Beer by WYCHWOOD BREWERY - https://hobgoblinbeer.co.uk/beers/hobgoblin-ruby/
    Reviews at UNTAPPD - https://untappd.com/b/wychwood-brewery-hobgoblin-legendary-ruby-beer/5875
NOTE - I am in NO WAY a pro Beer reviewer, everything expressed is MY opinion only and should be taken as such, done for my own personal fun and satisfaction. IE : Don't take it seriously!

  8. That pretty much sums it up, using batteries will allow it to be used as  regular CD player, I think the power adapter is required for any actual gaming though. Still yes it was definitely impressive for the time. Sadly IF you track down one in decent condition and working well it will likely cost you quite a bit, somewhat rare and very desirable for collectors. Between rarity and being a pain to work on / repair it's hard to come by these days. Here is some info form the retro console wiki

While I've heard of the Nomad and tried it out at PRGE, I have never heard about the CDX until now!  OMG you guys, can you start a thread on that?

Done! It's just a start but hopefully others chime in.
