  1. It was called "It's Only Rock 'N Roll." Xonox made it for the ColecoVision. I used to have it for mine, until I sold my ColecoVision collection and went strictly collecting Atari items. It's a strategy game. But, since Xonox was owned by K-Tel anyway, it was a K-Tel game. :O)
  2. But, I didn't know that about K-Tel branded games like what are on AtariAge. Interesting. :O)
  3. That's right. Xonox Double-Ender games were a K-Tel brand. Xonox were based in Minnesota, I know that.
  4. K-Tel is a Canadian company from Winnipeg, Manitoba, that had a US office in Minneapolis, MN. I used to think that they were based in Minnesota. But, I looked it up on Wikipedia and found out it is Canadian. Interesting factoid.
  5. It does at that. I have four copies of Midnight Magic for the A2600 with different label variations. Great game. I like playing Midnight Magic and Video Pinball for the A2600, David's Midnight Magic for the XEGS, and Pinball Jam for the Lynx. I have all of these games except for Pinball Jam, but I have played Pinball Jam before. It's pretty cool. :O)
  6. There are also XEGS and ST computer ports of "Crystal Castles." I have three Atari home versions of "Crystal Castles." I have them for A2600, XEGS, and ST. The ST computer version looks the best out of the three, but HDN is right about one thing. To experience it the best way possible, experience it on the arcade. The arcade is also extremely difficult to play. It is the most difficult of the versions of the game, but definitely very well programmed and fun.
  7. Well, the Jaguar emulation isn't on there yet. They are working on it and it is in development. From what I understand, anyway. It should come, but the Jag is a beast to emulate, literally. I have VJ for Mac. It's fast enough, but the sound suffers. Sometimes, depending on the system, it gets a little choppy. Its complicated chipset is hard to emulate, and that is saying a good thing about the Jaguar because it is so well built as an early RISC machine on the inside. Emulation is a different story, though.
  8. I wonder, being an OpenEMU guy myself, if they can master Jaguar game emulation on it. I think that they are working on it. Great emulator otherwise. :O)
  9. Can the XE systems be reinforced by re-soldering the components so they have a stronger hold in the sockets? I didn't know that about the XE/GS. Interesting.
  10. I always liked Cassandra Peterson. She is a good person. Elvira was always funny. I liked the character that she played. Awesome. :O)
  11. Yup. Short and Long Rainbow versions. The Short Rainbow was manufactured first, I believe.
  12. Yeah. I used to have an A2600 Darth Vader as well. I don't remember what happened to that system. But, that is gone, too. Unfortunately. Here are the A2600 systems I want to find: Heavy Sixer Light Sixer Darth Vader A2600 Jr Long Rainbow Those variations of that system would be happy campers in my Atari collection. Let me tell you. :O) They only redesigned the A2600 as the Junior to make it look like the A5200 and A7800. That's what I noticed anyway and it seems pretty obvious.
  13. I also received my first A2600 in 1982. My mother bought it from her sister for about $130.00 in 1982 dollar figures. It's gone now, probably stolen, but I have an A2600 Jr Short Rainbow that still works. It's a lot of fun even to this very day.
  14. I received my first and brand new A7800 around Christmas 1987. I hugged the thing. I was upset because I thought it was not there. But, my parents hid it behind the stereo. Funny. I was pleased, though. :O)
  15. I like for breakfast: Scrambled eggs and bacon Quiche (at times), or egg bake Toast with peanut butter That would be about it, really.
  16. I have been to Giordano's Pizza, Pizzeria Uno, the ESPN Zone, and Buca di Beppo in Downtown Chicago. It was a fun time there. :O)
  17. Thanks for the info, socrates63. I will look further into this. :O)
  18. Where would someone find this apparatus? Interesting approach. :O)
  19. "I just use my 2600 junior for those games." Yeah, that's what I would use as well. Why alter a cartridge that can be worth something to fit in a system (that could also be worth something in unaltered mint condition) when you have another system to play it on? I like Atari's proclivity toward being prolific with multiple game systems. After all, aside for the computer lines, Atari released six retail gaming platforms. That's dedication. :O)
  20. Mine, three. It can be hard to insert and take out the third-party carts. Some Atari-manufactured carts can be like that, too. So, I think that every A7800 owner has had that issue. Nothing big. It's just irritating at times, especially when you insert it and it doesn't go all the way in the cartridge port. :O)
  21. Oh. OK. Thanks, as that clarifies a lot. :O)
  22. They have a great selection of A7800 games. They even have the Fairchild Channel F games there. Now, that is really old school. I think that the Channel F was the first commercial game system to have interchangeable game carts, wasn't it? I know it preceded the A2600, but I think it was the first to market with game carts.
  23. It is a great morning. Hope everyone else is doing OK. :O)

  24. It's too bad that Eddie Van Halen did pass away. I loved his music and grew up listening to it. Hard to believe that he is gone. RIP, Mr. Van Halen. :O(
