  1. Recent pickups.

I've been wanting Colecovision "One on One" for a long time.  It's the crappiest version of one of my favorite games.

The Lynx SD cart is just plain awesome.

You finally found CV One on One! I remembered you had been looking for that one forever. Now you can play inbred Sneetches basketball!

It's horrible!  I know the CV could do so much better than this.  WTH!  The horribleness makes me love it even more, though.

  2. I've met him in person, folks, and he's a really nice guy. As described 🙂
  3. I should report that I got my adapter from Greece as well, and my experience matches yours. It works really nicely IMO. I will admit it feels kind of flimsy and I wonder how long it will last. I was thinking of putting a plastic case around it, but the clearance needed for the plug that goes into the 5200 makes that more difficult. 5200 sticks aren't the best things in the world, but they are fine once you get used to them. I like them more than Intellivision controllers, and less than Colecovision controllers. The fact that all those systems use a similar design tells you the "why" for Atari. True controller innovation didn't come in a big way until the NES.
  4. Platform: 7800 (and many others) Ain't about smoking! It is the one good sports game. Comes with special chip
  5. Honestly, that wasn't so bad. You kept eatin' em. Me, I'd have probably stopped at one because I cannot handle the hot stuff.
  6. @socrates63, sign me up for a Decathlon bronze!
  7. It's an Atari 2600 day.  I'm using my Jr. with the little CRT and testing out the Gemstik (it works!)  Next up is a try at Decathlon using the Asteroids button controller.

First score and YIKES! I’m bad. But I did well at the 1500m I think. Almost got the musical tribute. @RickR wins the first round!

I’m going to try for that patch. This is a great game. However I know I’m going to feel this tomorrow.

Thanks, Harry.  That was fun.  We should pick another game or a rematch of Decathlon some time.

  8. Decathlon I have the GBC cartridge of Yars' Revenge. I think it's pretty good. The two screens is kind of weird because it makes aiming the cannon hard. But otherwise, pretty faithful to the orig.
  9. I may give Decathlon a try today. It's going to rain here. Platform: Gambeboy Color (and one other) Looks familiar Ray, they remade a classic Two screens, not just one
  10. Game & Watch Gallery 2 Sorry for the lateness. It was sunny here today, I wasn't on the computer at all.
  11. I've wanted one of these for a LONG time. Starplex controller for Atari
  12. That situation with the stuck ship in the Suez Canal....who else is reminded of River Raid?

Maybe someone wanted to try to make a revision of River Raid...Just more life like?

  13. I thought the same. But there's a not-so-subtle difference. "Open" lets you aim in finer increments. That makes it a lot more realistic in my opinion. It's still arcadey and fast. I now like Open a lot better than original.
  14. YES! However, no point until you go enter the high score challenge 😉
  15. Platform: NES Hit ball with a stick Mario with a striped hat Pick from three courses
  16. I've played a ton of golf games over the years, but I've never tried this one. It's fun! Here's my quick review: Good Stuff Easy to learn, but difficult to master. I like the games that don't over complicate things. Using a standard hit meter is always a good sign. But it isn't easy to get that swing just right. That's a good thing -- it makes it more realistic Simple putting. Again...why do so many golf games make it so hard? This one is just right. Quick games. 18 holes takes about 30 minutes for me. I love that. Casual gaming at it's best. And not a lot of button pushes to get from hole to hole. Nice courses. Not too easy, not too tough. I love it. Especially the greens surrounded by water. Bad Stuff Needs more music variety. Needs more character variety Overall RickR grade: A Hopefully, you guys will give this a try. It's easy and fun. Let me know if you need help with the game or emulation or whatever.
