  1. A very comprehensive review from The 8-Bit Guy: What do you guys think?
  2. Half bulldog, half Shih-tzu In any case, Kenny is a cutie-pie. He looks happy. Bless you for taking in a shelter dog!
  3. I agree. If possible, measure the voltage right at the power connector on the board. If it reads 7.8V there, it is too low. If it's 9V or above there, let us know...then we would know it's an issue between the power adapter and the 7805.

    Star Trek for Vectrex!
  5. Hopefully, your wife got her Sprite to help with that upset stomach. Although it's not a pleasant surprise, that S. Korean coin would make an interesting souvenir. Or maybe the bank will take it back if you explain the situation.
  6. Has anyone seen these? They are very cool custom retro games from Sweden in exquisite cases. Very pricey, but absolutely the coolest designs I've seen. http://www.lovehulten.com/rkaidr.html
  7. An Atari Flashback 2 modded to have a cartridge port! Did I need it? No. But I've wanted one for a long time. Shocking how good the video quality is on this.
  8. I think I have a new favorite Plug and Play (and I have a ton of plug and plays). Golden Tee Golf is AWESOME. There is nothing better than a track ball for a game like this. NSG, you need to get one of these and review it. Highly recommended.
  9. I agree that it looks really nice, design-wise. It's just hard not to be jaded after all the false promises from similar systems in the past.
  10. The Flashback is a #6, which is pretty neat. Works perfectly.
  11. Emulation works too. Let me know if I can help you set up or configure anything. I'm using a Wii and having a blast.
  12. Well, the zapper games do indeed work on the NES emulator for Wii! And yes, they do have a crosshairs. But, it is really hard to get the hang of it. There's kind of a lag in moving the crosshairs around. The good news is that I also got the SNES emulator working while I was in there goofing off, and that's awesome too. Anyways, here's my first try. 23.000. As soon as you have to shoot two criminals, the slow crosshairs become a huge detriment.
  13. Check out the horrific review of the Xbox Bike game: https://www.gamespot.com/reviews/gravity-games-bike-street-vert-dirt-review/1900-2885404/ Good thing it was only $1.50. I wonder if the rarity makes it have any value? I doubt it.
  14. Good stuff from the goodwill today.

No laughing! I really wanted the top 2. The bottom 2 came as filler.
  16. Loose copies of most here will be for sale/trade soon. (no worm whomper, though).
  17. An interesting article here, which finds a link between declining birth rates and declining sales at Toys R Us: https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/wonk/wp/2018/03/15/toys-r-uss-baby-problem-is-everybodys-baby-problem/?utm_term=.51e33ce635f8 Fascinating. Because if it's true, it means it's just a pre-cursor for other stores that have an older demographic.
  18. Now THAT is a fantastic refurb. You did good. Very nicely done indeed.
  19. Well, it sure looks like it's official. All Toys R Us will close. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/business/wp/2018/03/14/toys-r-us-to-close-all-800-of-its-u-s-stores/?utm_term=.d7b2d6655070 I find this to be extremely sad and depressing.
