RickR reacted to Scott Stilphen in Easter Eggs In Old Computer Games
Here's a video of the C64 Cali Games one, which is pretty neat:
With Tau Ceti, if you type a curse in the game (like “f--k” or “c--t”), you’ll get a message saying, "Just because I'm a machine doesn't mean you can insult me. You'll be SORRY in 10 Seconds...." and the bottom of the screen will have a scrolling message saying, “Same to YOU with Bells on”. The screen will start shaking and go black in 10 seconds!

I like Burger Chef
Great game by Ken Siders. The 7800 feels like it has a "Swiss Cheese" library with lots of holes in it where certain games should have been but were absent. Ken Siders did a great job filling in the blanks fixing history with getting Burger Time and Q*bert to the 7800, despite the different names. Great games, couldn't ask for anything more.

Great idea!
My go-to place for parts is ebay. Look for broken items and then scavenge the parts from them.

I must have missed that. But how funny that the author's intention is a turn-off for this uninformed gamer.
We should suggest alternative names! How about "Burger Chef", "Burger Fun", or "Quarter Pounder Royale".

We make a dish called "Hoppin' John", which has ham, bacon, and black eyed peas covered. Need to add some greens it sounds like.

I am hoping that I am in the right place to post this. Knowing that some of us here have the knowledge to repair game consoles I thought it would be a good thing to have one place we can look at to find parts. The idea is to post links to online websites or even local shops where parts can be located. The parts could be reconditioned, pulls, or even new parts.
To start things off I will post a site I found while looking for Nintendo 64 parts. While this place is bit pricey they do seem to have every part you could think of for the N64. So...without further ado...
Nintendo 64 Parts
http://www.nesrepairshop.com/Catalog/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=69_83
E-Bay search for parts consoles (wholesale)
http://www.ebay.com/sch/Wholesale-Video-Game-Console-Systems/48752/bn_2309817/i.html
And, believe it or not, the thumbstick in the N64 controllers can be rebuilt to like-new condition again.
I hope that others with knowledge of where to locate parts will share some of their information to help others.

I'm originally from the south so I know all about the break from chicken when you can get it. I do miss the Waffle Houses I use to visit now and then.
As a tradition, my wife and I have always grabbed a couple of the sub sandwiches from Wal-Mart along with some Lil' Smokies and some chips. I never would have done this but a friend of mine in Arkansas made miniature skewers using toothpicks loaded with smokies that had been slow cooked in bar-b-que sauce, coupled with chunks of pineapple from a can. Surprisingly...it's really good! I spent time with them before I moved.
This year we got the usual stuff but we upped the ante. We are going to make our own nachos with store-bought ingredients and I am adding seasoned ground beef to top them off.
That ham looks really good! So does the greens.
If you ever travel to Branson, Missouri and pass through, or can find the time to travel south a bit farther, check out some of the restaurants in Harrison, Arkansas. You will need this...

T's BBQ is really good and I don't know if it is still there or not but there use to be a place called Big Daddy's across from the Edward's grocery store. Really BIG hamburgers! I had to cut mine in half just to try to bite it.
