I agree completely with rowsdower.  I'd only buy at bargain price with the intent to sell.  I find them offensive and they have no place in my collection.

I agree, I wouldn't play them or buy them. While I believe it's disgusting, to me it seems silly these days considering what these are, porn games on an Atari 2600. That being said, it certainly was nothing to laugh about back then, but now, I feel it's seen as more of a joke than anything controversial. While I certainly laugh when someone mentions these games, I myself wouldn't play them since I'm a Christian and even if I wasn't, I still think they're sick and that this isn't the way that people should view a member of the opposite sex.
What I find interesting is how many of these games came out, and not all were Mystique and Playaround. There was one called X-Man by some other company and I believe there was at least one more. Also, Playaround made gender reversed version of some of these games. Seriously, these guys were huge perverts.

In general, I don't care if other people wanna try these games out, but I'd rather avoid them no matter how silly or collectible they are. There are better rare games out there like Frogger 2 Threeedeep, Swordquest Waterworld, and Quadrun. Still, whether we like it or not, these will forever be part of video game history.

I guess that I'm in the minority here. I would consider getting Custer's Revenge for the controversy and history of it. I agree that it is an absolutely disgusting concept and it should have never been made. That said, no money is going to the long defunct makers at this point. As a well publicized and rightly criticized piece of Atari and gaming history, I think it is certainly a novel item to have in your collection. As for the rest of the titles, no thanks. They are bad games; poorly designed and not at all erotic.

Id at least play the game a few times and then sell it. Im actually still waiting on my buddy to go in his attick and find those games. He swears to me he has 3 x-rated games. If he ever does find em ill give them a try but most definitely sell them

Ok here it is. I did some more work on it. Added more stuff to it. Top are my boxed handhelds. First shelf are my gamecube and wii games (still have some more wii games to add)

Second shelf is ps2, xbox, and my loose genesis games. I dont have many loose genesis games. I also need to add more ps2 games later.

And the bottom is my ever growing vhs tapes collection. The thrift store i go to has this really nice cashier who told me that they throw away tapes all the time so she lets me get them for less than 50 cents

If I saw these at a flea market, I'd laugh and then walk away. Even if they're collectible, I'd rather not have Custer's Revenge on my shelf.

Nope. I want nothing to do with them.

Besides, from what I understand, Custards Revenge gave the clear appearance that the goal of the game is to help Custard get his revenge by raping a tied down Native American woman named Revenge (even if the makers tried to cover up the goal when protests arose). Seriously, that is sick. Even if games like this claimed everything is consensual, I personally think they're disgusting and I  don't want anything to do with the porn industry, especially since it tends to objectify women as sex objects and has been harmful to many lives and families.

So long story short, for these reasons among others, if I ever found a copy of one of these games mixed in a box of games I bought off of ebay, I'd have no problem forgoing the $ to trash it instead.

Just to clarify, I'm not out to force my beliefs on anybody, I'm not out to judge anybody who does collect them or would buy or sell them. I'm just answering the question for myself.

    That's a negative ghost rider.

If I saw one in the wild I'd snag it and sell it in a heartbeat.   Not my cup o' tea.   A novelty at best!

Why is Realsports Baseball not on this list?  I'd play that over any of these.

If Dragonstomper had a save feature, it would have been one of the best games of all time.

I remember really liking it, but got very frustrated with the time commitment involved -- yet no real idea on how to win. You'd buy a "Stun" spell that did nothing...that type of thing. Another nice addition would be a hit-bar display for the dragon.

Have any of you guys ever defeated the dragon on Dragonstomper?  I had the game back in the day, and liked it.  But never defeated it.  Plus it took a long time to make it to the dragon only to get defeated pretty quickly.  I just found it frustrating after a while, but I completely understand the appeal.

I've updated my TI 99/4A collection with a flashrom cart.  It allows me to play almost any game available for the system, and it's a pretty nice and neat compact format.  Also needed is the 32k memory expansion loaded off the right side of the speech synthesizer.

I highly recommend collecting the TI 99/4A for several reasons:
It's pretty inexpensive.  The systems are cheap...less than $50 for a nice computer in working condition.  The memory expander and flashrom are about $100 combined.  Not bad for every game made for the system. There are some really unique games on this system.  Alpiner, Parsec, etc and really fun, and there's nothing else like them on other systems.  There is a very passionate community of enthusiasts.  They love this system, and it's a lot of fun to get involved and learn from some really nice people/experts.  I've always found it really fun and interesting to compare the common games to other systems of the era.  In general, TI versions of Atari games, for example, look great.  They tend to play a little slower.  But they are really a blast to play.

Ok so the house is getting moved around and that is great news for me! This now means that i have an entire room to put all the games in rather than just the corner. Im definitely not done yet. I have to start moving in all the games now.

I've decided I'm throwing also a colecovision game to go along with the accessory, guess wouldn't be any fun not to have any games for it, so I'm donating one of mine, having said that, everyone would assume what I'm talking about...just to keep everyone in suspense.
