Here's a video on Facebook that is beyond awesome.  I'm not sure if it's possible to pull it off there, so here's a link:

You did a nice job!  I'm sorry that the bug is still there.

It still feels like a potential power issue to me.  Good luck solving this.

Well after several months I finally got around to installing a new mod from ebay. I took the original apart and started from scratch. Unfortunately the problems still persist so it's not the mod itself after all. I'll attach pictures but if you go to the first post you can see the output is the same. Lady bug in particular looks horrible but I had that problem from the beginning even on unmodded systems through RF. It's hard to tell on the Draconian picture but there are wavy lines all through the picture. So should I take an RF shield from another Vader and put it in this one? The original was thrown out by the person I bought the modded system from. Or is there another possible reason for this RF looking interference on a composite modded system.

Again this only seems to happen with 3 homebrews - Draconian, LadyBug and Fall Down.

Space Rocks, Juno First, and Colony 7 seem fine and all original games look great too. So other than 3 games this mod seems to work fine. It seems to be a homebrew issue but Al mentioned he's never seen anything like it and considering how many hundreds of homebrews and systems he tests, I trust it's something peculiar to my Vader.

PS - This was my first attempt at modding a system myself so other than the original problem being present, I'm pretty proud of myself

AA member Muddyfunster has just released  a new original homebrew for the Atari 2600.  The games is called Tyre Trax and looks fantastic!  It's still a work in progress but the look of the game reminds me of an Activision title.  Here is his post alone with pictures of the title.  You can download the game here.

    ----------------

This is a clock racer where the player has to complete the course in the shortest possible time. Still a bunch of things to add (like an in game reset switch function..).

I have no idea how this plays on real hardware as I don't have a Harmany Cart to test as as I'm using the DPC+ kernal, it doesn't work on my Uno_Cart.

    Inspiration.

I always used to love games like Barnstorming and Grandprix by Activision where it's you vs the clock. This game is inspired by those and also by the unique art style of classic Activation with the gradient sky etc.

I ride on my mountain bike a lot near where I live in the UK and we have a lot of canals. The idea for this game came when I was out riding along the tow path, having to avoid crazy old ladies with their yappy dogs, fishermen, rocks, and the local chavs (I guess "punk" would be the closest way to describe that to our colonial friends in the US  ). I thought this would make a great Atari game so I gave it a shot. In reality the tow path isn't as wide as my game, but then if it was modeled too much on the "real" I guess it wouldn't be much fun as a game  ;-)

    Playing

Right now, 4 game modes are present to try out.

Game 1 : Summertime - nice and simple, learn to play (15 obstacles)

Game 2 : Sunset - bit more challenging with more obstacles. (20 obstacles)

Game 3 : Winter - hard, (25 obstacles) - rocks start a bit closer as visibility is lower !

Game 4 : Winter 2 - as above with more obstacles and lower visibility (30).

    Controls

Fire or Reset to start after selecting your game.

    Right to accelerate

    Left to slow down.

If you hit an obstacle you get stopped in your (tyre) trax..

Game over - you will need to restart / reload (next thing I'll be fixing).

Thanks to programmer Paul Walters, who decided to release the binary of the game for free after plans to sell cartridges fell through.

This is a 1-player 8K game based on events in the life of the biblical character Noah.  Paul Walters announced in 2015 that he likely had the only existing copy of the game.  From Walters: "Back in 1982 - 1984 I worked for Enter-Tech Ltd.  We developed video games, coin-op, cartridge, and gambling as well.  We developed a few games for the Atari 2600.  We had the contract to develop Arkyology and David and Goliath for the 2600 back in 1983.  I and my co-worker George Hefner were the programmers on the Arkyology project.  My co-worker Rick Harris was the lead on the David and Goliath project, and Andy Teague helped.  Barb Ultis did the graphics for both games.  The games required a cartridge board that handled ROM banking.  The final games fit inside 8K bytes. Arkyology was finished and ready for release; I don't think David and Goliath was ever finished.  Arkyology was about Noah's ark.  The player controlled 'Noah' and the goal was to feed the animals on the Ark.  The game showed three floors separated by ladders that contained animal stalls.  Each level had two parts.  First was to run around and open all of the animal stalls, the second was to 'feed' each of the animals.  Of course, there were obstacles.  There were birds flying past, alligators running on the floors, and a couple others if I remember right.  Each level sped up with more obstacles.  We ended up having to edit out some of what we wanted to put into the game because we were running out of space... The cut scenes between days were shortened down to just Noah snoring.. we had bigger plans for it.  I have a game ROM of Arkyology, probably the only one still in existence."

    Sports cars!!

Mom had a Datsun 280-ZX from 1980 with T-tops. It stayed in the family for 13 years. Not being able to find parts for it anymore Mom sold it. Ever since my love for the import sports machines has grown. And I've learned quite a bit about what cars exist locally and overseas.

What links I share are of vehicles I have found for sale online in Japan. This is strictly so others can see the cars. It is in no way an attempt to promote the sale of anything.

Nissan was Mom's, me as well, favorite sports car maker. They took good car of us and her 280 when we needed it. So I searched used Nissan cars first for sale in Japan. I found this.

A silver Nissan 180SX. It looks beautiful and this is the first time I have seen real photos of one outside of a video game. No, I can't afford a new car...I can barely afford the one I have now.

Well everyone, I won't be able to submit any more scores by 8/31 -- I'm off on a road trip!  I'll try to drive a little more carefully than I do in PP2 though.  Good luck all.  PP2 was a really fun game and I'm glad that this contest allowed me to get re-acquainted with it.

Been awhile since I shared my finds with ya'll, and not all of this thrift store stuff, but I didn't know where to post it. Some of it came from Facebook and Toys R Us going out of business sale.

From Toys R Us came all those Amiibo figures, the Chibi-Robo Set, and the Xbox 360 King's Quest game, which was much cheaper than $39.99. (I also got a Switch and some games and accessories for it, but that is a post for another day.)

The Xbox Duke controller used to belong to my brother.

Sword of Mana, Legend of Zelda/Four Swords, Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi and Super Mario Advance were Facebook finds.
The Mario Party DS case and manual was Facebook, too.

    Kung Zhu was from Walmart.

Blue Dragon, Mah Jong Quest, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing, Atari Greatest Hits, Ferrari Challenge, Rubik's World, and Super Mario 3D Land all came from Gamestop.

Lastly, Record of Agarest War was from Goodwill.

Special "Thank You!" again and shout-out to the legendary RickR for supplying me with an original Pole Position II cartridge when I was in need. You guys are pulling off the impossible, posting some seriously good lap times. I don't doubt there are even better lap times to come in the final days. Good luck to all of our racers here!

Thanks for the sub! Wii has some Backyard titles too...I just haven't seen them locally yet.

I guess I'm weird, too, as I generally don't care for the usual football/baseball titles because of their overly complicated stats system. I don't really care about realism as long as the heart of the game is simple and fun to play. I didn't even realize that the field in the game I played wasn't a full length field until earlier. But it's still fun.
