Hello everyone!
 
I am new here, this is my first post.  Phil, the Nosweargamer encouraged me to sign up over here.  I just completed my first video game, GPAC DD, which is a Pac-Clone style game for the Commodore 64.  It is a free game, and I released the source code.   I also did a short 10 physical copy run and gave them all out. You can learn all about it on my youtube channel (youtube.com/graydefender).

Anyhow, I had fun doing it, and it was a great learning experience.  When I am not messing around on a C64, I also enjoy the classic Atari consoles & Intellivision.

GRay Defender here.  I was born and raised here in San Bernardino, CA.  I played the early games in the arcade growing up and my first real gaming console was the Atari 2600.  From there I moved on to the Commodore 64, but before I let my mom sell off my 2600, I held onto the three games carts that I treasured the most at the time.  They were Adventure, Missile Command and Mountain King.  I fairly recently got back into video games and collecting.  Other than video games & consoles, I also love classic radios with cassette tape players,etc.  I also collect some vintage calculators, something about that phosphorus.
 
I guess last year I started my small youtube channel which goes by my moniker.

I can't disagree with your list.  But I do have some additional characters to consider:
 
- Donkey Kong
- Gordon Freeman.
- Samus
- Master Chief
- Duke Nukem
- Pikachu
- GlaDOS 
 
I could go on an on.  We've been lucky to have so many great characters!

Ok here is what i took out. I couldn't quite get the book back in there so i had to take it out too. But hey maybe it will help me beat some games im stuck on.

As I mentioned above...quality in the Tramiel years was not very good.  It's amazing how many XEGS' are broken.  I got mine from Correagonzales because it was broken.  I also have an extra working motherboard if anyone needs it. 

Yeah, I'll admit....I was the same.  I have one just because. 

These are really nice, but I would highly recommend an Atari 800XL instead.  The 800XL is essentially the same (minus the built-in Missile Command game), but is of much higher build quality.  Plus easier to find and less expensive. 

Alright i just got home from work. The box was waiting for me, but im tired so ill do my thing tomorrow and get it shipped out tomorrow too!

I need more SMS games.  Is it just me, or are they hard to find?

Todays half off monday thrift store grabs. Spent just over $10 for everything

The disk drive works!  Not at first.  It needed some repair.  But all mechanical.  The drive door/latch mechanism.  It's so cool!

A Rana disk drive for the Atari 8-bit computers.  The cover is not attached, which probably means it's broken.  Still....I drooled over these drives back in the 80's.  So sleek.  The LED display.  Higher density.  Even broken, it is welcome in my collection.  A little box of floppy disks.  And three Atari computer books.  A label-less Intv game that I didn't have.  A SMS game!  (lucky thing to find).  A complete DS game.
