  1. Been awhile since I shared my finds with ya'll, and not all of this thrift store stuff, but I didn't know where to post it. Some of it came from Facebook and Toys R Us going out of business sale. From Toys R Us came all those Amiibo figures, the Chibi-Robo Set, and the Xbox 360 King's Quest game, which was much cheaper than $39.99. (I also got a Switch and some games and accessories for it, but that is a post for another day.) The Xbox Duke controller used to belong to my brother. Sword of Mana, Legend of Zelda/Four Swords, Hi Hi Puffy Ami Yumi and Super Mario Advance were Facebook finds. The Mario Party DS case and manual was Facebook, too. Kung Zhu was from Walmart. Blue Dragon, Mah Jong Quest, Final Fantasy Tactics A2, Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing, Atari Greatest Hits, Ferrari Challenge, Rubik's World, and Super Mario 3D Land all came from Gamestop. Lastly, Record of Agarest War was from Goodwill.
  2. Mass shooting reported at a video game tournament in Florida. Multiple fatalities and the shooter is dead.https://www.cnet.com/news/mass-shooting-reported-at-video-game-tournament-in-florida/

  3. Either one works for me, tbh. I have no preference one way or the other.
  4. I'm not sure, but they're going for anywhere from $26 to $30 at Gamestop and Ebay, and that seems pretty steep for just a controller. $20 seems much more reasonable to me.
  5. My Goodwill NEVER has Gameboy. I'm so jealous.
  6. Updated. I'm in the market for an Xbox 360 controller now.
  7. Got my hands on a couple of used Xbox 360s this week, but there's no controllers. If anybody here has one extra, I'd be willing to pay a reasonable amount for it. (Gamestop and Ebay are too expensive, I've already discovered.)

I have four, two wired and two wireless. But only one works, the rest are shot. I agree, these controllers are crazily priced and you never know if you're going to get a good one. Will keep any eye out, though. My wired one was $15 from GameStop if that would be an option?

My local Gamestop only has wireless ones, and they're asking $26.99 to $29.99, which is crazy for a controller.

  8. I just discovered a short, eight episode mini documentary series on Youtube called 8 Bit Legacy: The Curious History of Video Games, and I just had to share it with you guys. The episodes are all pretty short, usually 6 to 8 minutes, tops, but they are packed with fascinating tidbits of trivia and boasting production values that would make most Youtubers green with envy. In fact, the series was even Emmy nominated. Stand out bits include interviews with both Nolan Bushnell and Shigeru Miyamoto. Definitely check this one out. https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLMFGVXWuJ1C6mpl8BuTzkjOGIVpfsyPZ0
  9. You know I'm interested. I'm working on a complete INTV collection.
  10. Whoa... I finally own a valuable piece of gaming history. I feel incredibly lucky, and I plan to hold onto mine. I only wish I had managed to get the pack of extra controller overlays. EDIT: I finally hit 1,000 posts!
  11. I don't think it's been mentioned before now, but the SMS has ZERO region locking. A North American SMS can play both European and South American SMS games. (The one exception is Japanese games. For some reason NA systems won't play Japanese games.) The SMS was much more popular in Europe and South America, and there are literally DOZENS of games that never released in the US that are well worth tracking down. Brazil especially loved the SMS, and so many SMS games only came out there. The Master System is a dream console to import games for.
  12. Went to my local Goodwill last Sunday, and got a pretty good haul. From Russia With Love and Fable for the Xbox, Record of Agarest War for the Xbox 360, two Mary Kate and Ashley games for the Playstation, two old PC games, the soundtrack from The Lion King, and also from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Not pictured is a television hookup cable for the original Xbox.
  13. Dang. I've still never even seen this or the NES one in person. It's still just a mythical thing here.
  14. I have a Jr, a gift from RickR, I believe. I really love its compact shape, really a sleek design. It's more attractive than the original, IMHO.
  15. Sadly, the only working CRT television I had here completely stopped working. No more Duck Hunt for the forseeable future.

Keep an eye out on local Goodwill and other stores. While they can't take them you might find free ones sitting around their donation areas. Check Salvation Army as well. Also, do a search for free TVs on Craigslist in your area. That is how I found my little 20" Santo CRT flat screen.

The 20" Apex I had died a while back and I didn't know of a hidden feature it had. It could switch between 50 & 60 Hz as needed. So, now, most of the ST games I have and one 2600 game do not work on the Sanyo model I have now. The 2600 game is Secret Quest.

  16. I have it, but play it very rarely. The single player mode is pretty soulless, sadly.
  17. Went to Goodwill yesterday, and came back with a pretty nice haul. Found a Samsung Gear VR headset for just $4.99. Brand new, it costs like $99. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed, Namco Museum case (a different game was inside it, but I had a caseless Namco Museum, so it works out), and Spider-Man for the Xbox. Found some old PC games, too. You Don't Know Jack, SimCity 3000, Wing Commander: Prophecy, and 40 Best Windows 95 Games. Hello Kitty is a DS game, still wrapped in plastic. My JoyStick is an old IBM compatible joystick for younger children. It caught my eye with its thoroughly '90s box art. Also found a Welcome to Playstation 3 demo blu-ray disc. Lastly, Robots is the first UMD movie I've managed to add to my collection. However, it gets even better. When I opened the case to check the inside, I found that PSP demo disc stuck inside the case, too. I had no idea the PSP ever even had a demo disc. It has several non-playable game trailers, movie trailers, and music videos.
  18. Alas, I don't have anything on your want list. How much would you sell it for?
  19. What would you be willing to trade it for? I'm quite interested.
  20. The main problem with that ATGames Genesis is it has horrible sound emulation. Apparently all the sounds from every game sound wildly incorrectly.
  21. Finally got a Nintendo Switch!!!

  22. Wow, how much is Goodwill asking for PS3?
  23. Where can I find this awesome Gamestop that sells SNES games????
