  1. From what I recall, Quest 64 was the *very first* RPG on the N64, and it shows. Various reviews I've seen of it make note of the fact that the plot is extremely repetitive, even moreso than most RPGs. You go to a town, defeat a monster, go to another town, defeat another monster, rinse and repeat. The magic system is also apparently quite flawed, as it is nearly impossible to learn all the various spells without focusing all your points to level up, say, earth spells. By the time you want to level up different spells, like fire, or water, it next to impossible because all your points have been nearly used up.
  2. Man, I've heard Quest 64 is a rather... Repetitive and uninspired RPG.
  3. Man, thrift stores here NEVER have Atari.
  4. Yeah, I already have the GBC version, Link's Awakening DX, on the Virtual Console, but I've been wanting to get the actual physical releases of the various Zelda games. Their prices seem to be getting a bit steep for the original carts, though, so when I saw that one for the fairly reasonable price of $11, I decided I should definitely get it.
  5. I'm jealous for that Intellivoice.
  6. I need boxes like that. Really nice, indeed.
  7. I bet you could identify that episode based on Spock's position alone.
  8. The mall where I live, Pecanland Mall, has changed so much from when I was a kid. Thankfully, it seems to still be thriving, and a couple years ago it had a big celebration for it's 30th anniversary of operation, which is kind of impressive. Back in the '90s, though, the place was really hopping. Two candy stores (TWO!!), a Waldenbooks, a Radio Shack, a Taco Bandito (a local variant of Taco Bell, though it became a Taco Bell later on), a Tilt arcade... We had a DISNEY STORE. Thankfully, the ten-screen Cinema 10 is still going strong. I frequently watch movies there. Lots of memories there. I'm happy it is not dying, even with the many changes over the years, because I still enjoy visiting it. Here's to 30 more years.
  9. Oh, awesome, mine has the expansion port. I had no idea it has superior sound quality.

  11. I'm on a mission to download every single 3DS Virtual Console game to my 3DS. I have reached 42. Will I succeed? Only time will tell...

      Have you reached 43 yet?

  12. That's a beautiful Wii U.
  13. About three or four more weeks till our new house comes in. I'm getting impatient to reorganize my games again.

Ah the joys of making plans.

  14. I have that exact controller, and it does work great. I would like an original controller, though, because I like purple.
  15. Actually, as a follow up post, my Game Boy/GBA game collection is starting to get to be too many for my GBA case to hold. Anybody got some suggestions of a way to store the games neatly with no fuss?
  16. My recent acquisitions. None of them were really thrift store finds. Oh well. Link's Awakening was a Facebook find for all of $11. Advance Guardian Heroes was another Facebook find. Dragon Quest V was from Gamestop. Super Scribblenauts was a Wal Mart purchase.
  17. Really, the only modern console I want is a Switch. (And a Vita.) Anything else? Naaahhh... The XBox whatever-the-heck-it-is has no interest for me. Neither does the new PS4 on Steroids.
  18. No, apparently according to the Atari Age group on Facebook, that is not custom. https://www.facebook.com/groups/atariage/permalink/10155289914535255/
