Post a photo or YouTube video of your score in this thread. Scores must be achieved between September 1st through September 30, 2023. Screen captures are not allowed as they are more easily manipulated for falsified scores. Multiple submissions are permitted. The player with the highest score at the end of the competition is the victor! Eligibility This is a Club VCS Exclusive Challenge. All Club VCS players are welcome! Play Rules Games may be played on real Atari VCS hardware. Choosing which controller to play on is part of formulating your strategy. Enhancements, rewinds and hacked versions of this game are not allowed. Difficulty Level We are playing Centipede: Recharged in the "Recharged Mode". You have a single life to move, shoot, and score as high as possible! Fair Play Your integrity is everything. Players should play fairly, be honest, and have fun! For this challenge we're playing Centipede: Recharged! Released in September 2021, Centipede: Recharged is a re-imagining of the beloved Atari arcade game and set the tone for the rest of the series. We're celebrating the second anniversary of Centipede: Recharged with this challenge! Blast bugs and chase high scores in this glorious revival of an old-school classic. A dozen new power-ups can give you an edge by introducing abilities like screen-clearing explosions, rail guns, and even slowing down time. Club VCS Recharged Squad Contest This game is the third title in our fourth Club VCS contest giveaway! Prize details will be announced shortly. 1) All challenge participants will receive one (1) entry for each challenge in which they submit a valid score! 2) The top scorer of each challenge will receive two (2) additional entries - for a total of three (3) entries in a single challenge! 3) On Twitch or Youtube?   13. Is it poetic that this once planned Amico launch title is making its way to the Atari VCS? I recall how Tallarico trolled the VCS IndieGoGo launch by announcing the Amico the day prior. He went on to continue trolling the VCS throughout its development on various platforms despite being a licensee of Atari for titles like Breakout and Missile Command. Today we get to enjoy this Amico game on the only retro modern platform that made it to market. I call that poetic. I wonder if will see other BBG games make it to the VCS?!

  18. Personally, I would like them to come up with a new uniform box to dermarcate this new era of releases. Something that calls back to the best of the Atari Inc designs, but is easily identifiable as of this era. Maybe a gold box era? 🤔
