  1. I thought that I was safe. I guess that I still have a few hours. LOL
  2. Paul Reubens is dead at 70. Apparently, he's privately battled cancer for the past several years. Pee Wee Herman meant the world to me as a little boy. Sad to hear.

Sad to hear that.  Regardless of reasons why some people disliked him he was a unique entertainer and created some of the most annoying catch phrases of all-time.  He was easy to spot in film and sitcoms when he made cameo appearances.  I had a cousin who grew up watching his Playhouse show.

It's sad to hear he battled cancer.  He was a master of his craft.  He did what no one else did and in some ways kept a bit of nostalgia from past actors in his character. I mean, A suit and tie.  That was something left in the past unless you was a game show host.

R.I.P. Pee Wee.  You entertained us well.

  14. In case folks have their doubts, Atari's community manager reconfirmed this morning: I think it's inexcusable of Atari to not have included a VCS port in the SOW for Lunar Lander Beyond. What do you think?!
  15. The Lower Decks crossover episode of SNW, called Those Old Scientists (TOS) is AMAZING. I gave my first straight up belly laugh in I don't know how long.

    That's all.

I think it's time to subscribe to paramount+ again.  Thanks for this reminder!

We are on Disney+ now.  We just finished "Mandolorian" season 3 and just started "Andor".

  19. There has been a lot of confusion regarding Lunar Lander: Beyond and whether or not the game will be published on the VCS. First, the VCS was not mentioned in the press release, nor did the logo appear at the end of the YouTube trailer. The VCS logo did appear on the version of trailer posted to Atari's website. Second, in response to the confusion/speculation the above omission caused, Atari's Discord community manager posted the following clarification(s): All good, right? Not so fast! Enter Atari VP of Games who stated that Lunar Lander: Beyond is not "confirmed" for the VCS. Speculation ensued on both the Atari Games server and the Atari VCS server. Obviously, Atari diehards are rightfully upset. Time will tell what happens, but I'm curious, what are your thoughts? Will you purchase and play this game if not released for the VCS? What does this mean for Atari's support of the platform going into 2024? Sound off!
  20. As these have started to arrive, one thing I've noted is that creator credits for arcade ports have been to the arcade designer/programmer and not to the programmer of the 2600 ports. For example: - Missile Command is credited to Dave Theurer, and not Rob Fulop. - Super Breakout is credited to Ed Logg, and not Nick Turner with Carol Shaw. - Crystal Castles is credited to Franz Lanzinger, and not to Peter C. Niday. While it arguably makes sense to credit the arcade originators as "creators" for these titles, not crediting the 2600 programmers is a serious oversight. This is especially true when lack of credit and compensation led many, including Fulop, to leave Atari. The XP line was the perfect opportunity to correct history and attribute these programmers for their work. As it stands, the XP releases may serve to further muddle history. It's a real shame.
  21. Another stop motion unboxing!  This time its the AtariXP reissue of Super Breakout for the 2600!
