A list of ANY 20 titles was never going to please everyone, there are some really good games for sure and it seems they did try for some variety, of course everyone had their own idea of the perfect list. FOR ME as I have heard from others, the attractiveness will come down to hack-ability and being adding to add ones own titles. Even for those not into such things I suspect it will still be a buy for many. Here is the official list video and an image to consider.

About damn time, if you ask me. I made the mistake of getting an ATGames Genesis console. From what I later learned, the sound quality is completely screwed up.

    This is just too cool...

The engines of the most famous vessel in the "Star Trek" universe, the USS Enterprise, are powered by the annihilation of matter and antimatter, a process that produces energy in the form of gamma rays. More than half the gamma-ray sources cataloged by the Fermi mission come from a different type of engine — supermassive black holes in the cores of distant galaxies.

Most large galaxies harbor monster black holes millions to billions of times more massive than the Sun. When matter falls toward a supermassive black hole, the center of the host galaxy emits far more light than normal and may flare up unpredictably. Astronomers say such galaxies possess active galactic nuclei, or AGN for short.

Fermi sees the universe in gamma rays, the most energetic form of light. In its first four years, Fermi found more than 1,500 gamma-ray AGN, and it continues to find more.

The rotating supermassive black hole at the center of an AGN works like an engine that converts the gravitational energy of matter falling toward the black hole into other forms, such as light. Gas falling toward the black hole is compressed and heated to millions of degrees and glows brightly near the black hole. Strong magnetic fields, combined with the black hole's rotation, can accelerate some of these charged particles to velocities approaching the speed of light.

Particles accelerated near the black hole's event horizon, the point of no return, can escape along the black hole's spin axis, forming a pair of particle jets moving in opposite directions. Working with other missions, Fermi has shown that the fastest jets are the best at producing gamma-rays. When fast-moving particles run into lower-energy light, they can impart energy to it and boost it up to gamma-ray energies. In the coming years, Fermi scientists hope to determine which types of particles are responsible for these "kicks" — lighter ones like electrons and positrons, heavier particles like protons, or some combination.

Fermi data illustrate how the gamma-ray brightness of AGN can vary. On June 14, 2015, an AGN called 3C 279 increased in brightness by 10 times over the course of a few hours. These rapid changes are associated with "blazars," a kind of AGN where one of the particle jets happens to point almost directly toward us. This orientation, together with near-light-speed motions in the jet, amplify the object's brightness and variability, which helps astronomers explore the workings of its central engine.

The inspiration behind the mod was the original Atari console, the Atari 2600. [Jared’s] console mod, called the Atari Lynx 2600, utilizes a four-switch 2600 case as an enclosure. However, since the Atari 2600 joystick did not offer enough button real estate an NES controller was used instead. A male-male serial cable serves as the new controller cord, while all the buttons on the face of the Lynx are hardwired to a female DB9 port. As an added touch a custom 3D printed cartridge adapter was incorporated into the original 2600 cartridge slot.
Since the Lynx did not natively support video out, and intermediary device known as the McWill LCD mod kit was used. The McWill LCD mod is typically done in order to modernize the Atari Lynx’s screen with hardware from this decade, but [Jared] used the kit in order to get VGA video output from the Lynx. Not satisfied with just VGA [Jared] also included a VGA to HDMI scaler inside to ensure a wider compatibility with current displays. Fittingly the HDMI port was placed on the back of the 2600 enclosure where the RF video used to come from.   Bonus points should go to [Jared] for going the extra mile and creating a custom console box to accompany the console mod. The entirety of the project was detailed in a three-part video series, but you can watch the console in action in part 2 below:   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bsCzxh4wcdg

So as im sure all of you have seen and read about the new arcade 1up arcade machines (trying to avoid using the words full size arcades) and just wanted get yalls opinions on them. So far im seeing that they are starting to pop up at walmarts. Have you gotten one already? Are you planning to get one? Are you on the fence? Does one stand out more to you?

For me they are just too small. I am 6'3" and these things with the 13" riser are 4'3". My pole position arcade is a solid 6 feet tall and if it was any shorter my back couldnt take it.

Now for the price. At first i thought $299 wasnt so bad for a full size arcade at home with multiple games built in and supposedly arcade roms this time. But for the size of it. Im not sold on the price at all.

Now i might actually be interested in one of someone finds a way to hack it and add more games to it, but from what ive read so far it doesnt look to be possible. Looks like the best you could do is get one and throw a pi in there

Anyway what are yall thoughts? Do you already own one? If so im sure we would all love to know your thoughts and review on it. Thanks!
