So I have this box of games that no matter how much I clean them, they won't work.

I honestly don't know what do do with them, and am considering just trashing them.

Does anyone have a use for them? I'd be glad to give them to anyone who would want to cover the shipping. They are mostly Atari, but I think I have a couple NES games too. I can post pics if needed.

And yes, I know AtariAge buys 2600 games for .50 cents store credit each, but they are picky on which ones they take and with the cost of postage nowadays, I'm not even sure if it would cover the cost to ship them. And even if I sent them the carts they'd want, I still would have several left over.

I also have a bunch of broken carts of various brands if anyone needs them.

Given that, do you happen to have a broken 7800 cart?  I have a 7800 Ms Pac Man circuit board that works, but needs a shell to go into.

I have a dead Pole Position II. Does that work?

If so, I will just throw it in with the next trade we do.

Just a heads-up: you also receive AA store credit for your shipping expense.  At least I did when I last shipped Al a box o' carts a few months back.

You might try Lance over at V61.  He might take the broken Atari games for parts.  I'm not sure, you would have to contact him.  I'm not sure if he would give anything in return for them or not.

I'd take them but I can't afford any shipping expenses at the moment.  I'm always tinkering with electronics.  It's a hobby  :D Whatever you do please don't trash them.  We have enough harmful crap in our environment as it is.  If you are just going to throw them out, and I'm in no way trying to sound mean, hateful, or anything, send them to me.  I save what is good in a parts bin I have.  Then should any one need them someday down the road they will be here for others to have.  No money in, no money out.  Any game, any system.  Parts is parts...and most of the older systems and games are getting hard to find parts for.

Wow.  That's a lot of games that don't work.  Some of them good titles.  At least the Tutankham game you have there has its label.  Mine doesn't.  What are the games missing the end labels?

Here they are. Tut has the label, but it is completely unglued.

FYI: If anyone is interested, I put my defects on ebay in a lot and started the price low, just enough to cover the fees and maybe get a few bucks off of it:
