5200 is an incredible system!
Ohh yes it is! In spite of the joysticks it is an astonishing home arcade system. Centipede with trackball is an insane experience. But that is only the peak of the growler! I suspect many critics never had seen a 5200 in coloured action.

But on the other hand, me and my pals were glad to play a PacMan game on the VCS and liked it. The VCS-ports were always different to the Arcade-version and so we got accustomed to it in a short time.

Advertisement in the Tramiel era: In Germany they had made no or even few promotion on TV, mainly the ST Computers in the 80ies. The Lynx was only advertised in Atari-Magazines (!), the Jaguar was neither promoted. Only Mail order retailers had shown the cat in their catalogues. I have in mind, that Germany was a big market for Atari products. Did they really thought, there was no need for propaganda? Nintendo, Sega or even Commodore were omnipresent on TV in these days.

That was unthinkable in Germany. Here the ST was more a serious business machine or a creative tool in commercials and people's mind. The Amiga was the entertainer and gaming computer. Nevertheless Atarians were playing.

My module was possibly burried under a big fat ass. Flat as a pancake, so i had to bring it back in form.
It was worth the try, because it is really a wonderful version of the coinop.

My best wishes!
But Southeast Texas is too far from my home! Maybe you think about Mail order!

Hmmm, somebody must produce a hack or a sequel with all the proposed characters and courses. That will be sure funny!

I don't remember you, but i guess you to slow down your speed and reduce working. A burnout is an evil disease. I know exactly, what i am talking about.

No! It would be in bad taste to do that.

Oooooh! Playing Centipede and Missile Command with Trakball on a 5200 is arcade perfect! Dream comes true, Heaven on Earth! I love that. This is a good reason for owning Ataris unlucky behemoth.

The picture on the cartridge sticker looks fantastic!
I would like to have that as a poster!
Is it possible to make a second edition of the game via Atari Age or anyother producer?
I bet, there are many grateful consumers.

Oh, the Coleco port of Donkey Kong was horrible. Can't think of a reason to like it.
Indeed, but D2K Arcade is a late compensation for the Intellivision friends.

Oh, i love that movie an now i'm keen on watching it!

Brilliant! Many paddlecontroled games are unknown or underrated. Everyone should own a paddleset!

Welcome to Atari.io! You have entered a cozy place for Atarians and other Retroists!

Sure it was!

Thanks for the answer! ✌

@ BTB
Sounds familiar to me. I had played the 2600-version of Donkey Kong and the same thoughts about it.
The Intellivision-version of Donkey Kong looks a little bit like 'Practical Pig vs. Swamp Thing' to me.

Which RG-issue contains that Interview with Darryl Still?

I think the situation at Argonaut wasn't unlikely to other developers in these days.

You should buy a second V61 Joystick! And after long nights of training you'll strike back without mercy! Your son is a tough one, so you need much training!
Just kiddin'!
