Hm, sadly a missed opportunitiy for Atari to kick Coleco's balls.

I guess, this was made for salesmen presentations. To use a toploader for that just makes sense. The CD on the photograph is certainly made for tourists, who wants to visit Eindhoven, a city in the Netherlands. Maybe this briefcase was an equipment of a software salesman, who had presented his software at customer's shops or offices. E.g. there was a CDi-program for driving schools, which was available until 2009.

Caverns of Khafka for C64 and A8 are completely different games. On C64 the level scrolls very groggy and the controls are sloppy. Sometimes your sprite falls flat and you loose a life without having a clue why. But the music is awesome and creates a superbe atmosphere. So you stay tuned.
On A8 the cavern is build on one screen and the controls should be more accurate. But i also haven't seen that version until now.

Ah, it is time to revisit the Lynx Lounge!

Sad, very sad! The retromarket has reached a certain size and that is the moment, the locusts enter the scene.
It is the same situation with the actual Atari. They had made a mess with Jeff Minters TxK several years ago. They claimed that Minter had illegally used the code of T2K for Jaguar for that PSV game. So Minter had stopped any activity for a PS4-Translation of TxK.
Sad, very sad!

A happy welcome from the old continent! I guess, we're all oldtimers here.

I also own Mines of Minos and Miner 2049er for the VCS.
@ jaguar prices
In Germany the prices are indecent, too. For an new AvP you should have to pay € 350. A new Console (NTSC) costs € 400 and a PAL-console € 350. Only two years ago the prices were not more than € 200. But used modules are also expensive. Brutal sports deluxe without box for € 20. That is ruthless in many ways.

Pitfall! - It would be nice to explore several cages in the manner of Pitfall II: Lost Caverns.
Skies of Arcadia: Likeable characters in a fascinating world.
Rocket Ranger: In the credits there was to read "to be continued..."!
Fable: Ok, it's not retro, but there must be a "Fable IV" in the near future!

I know both versions for Colecovision and Intellivision. Both are great. The graphics for the CV-version are slightly better.

The No Swear Gamer Atari 2600 Reviews

Excellent as always!
For a console game, Gravitar is extremely difficult.
Time Pilot is well made. It offers all five stages of the arcade version. The Coleco version misses the last stage with the UFOs and the controls are not very accurate. So i think the Atarians have the better version.
