This 7800 version is really great.  Initially, I wasn't a big fan.  Everything is "bigger/chunkier" than the arcade version.  And I hate the lined border around the screen.

But then I got addicted playing for this contest.  The 7800 was built for this game.  Things get really fast.  There's not a trace of flicker.  Super tight controls.

    I now love it.

We are missing the Cadbury fruit and nut bar, my mother in law used to give me one of those for the holidays and my birthday and I miss it so much.

Also Rowsdower, Aero bars are today's Chocolite. The mint ones are aces.

If this is in the wrong location let me know. I will move it!!!!

I held off on posting this here but today figured what the hell! Little known about me is I am an artist and a prop maker. Mainly deal with macabre subjects but once in a while I play around with other stuff, video games are no exception. Now the images are not the greatest and these are no where near my better works but I figured I would share them to see if others would follow. I would LOVE to see other personal works that are gaming related!!!

I finally figured out a way to post my "The MOST comprehensive list of Atari VCS/2600 homebrews ever compiled." publicly, while I can edit and update it without doing a manual upload and ending up with a different URL/link each time.

    It is available here: https://1drv.ms/x/s!ArXu52QZivTrgVbQayev1Wc1QprN

It's pretty much been a daily 3+ yrs. process, and I figured I'd finish scouring the "other website" forums before releasing it.

    Enjoy!

Not really; I'm not 100% sure what my recording schedule will be like (typically I record in the mornings before I leave for work -- I already have episode 1 done except for feedback ), but what doesn't make it in time will roll over into the next show. If episodes 0 and 1 are any indications, I'll be recording this podcast in sections, kinda like what Brian Wilson did with Smile in 1967, so what can possibly go wrong?

I'm looking for feedback for the next episode of the Atari 7800 Homebrew Podcast (you can find it on iTunes, Stitcher, or use this feed: http://feeds.feedburner.com/homebrew78 )

What are your memories of BurgerTime and/or thoughts on Beef Drop on the 7800?

This game will be covered on Episode 1.
You can also e-mail text or audio to homebrew78 -at- fab4it -dot- com

    Thanks!

Loose carts are good.  I don't expect to find those complete in boxes.  Label conditions are not an issue either because I have learned that even those that have been well loved (also known as nakid ladies and wounded warriors) still play well.  I'm not picky on label conditions.  I need to update my list to express that and something else.

Are you okay with loose 2600 carts? How about label condition, what are you looking for there?

Part of my perpetual apartment-emptying project:

Super Mario Kart for SNES - cart only, works well

RetroDuo Portable 2.0 - handheld SNES clone. CIB, hardly used. Comes with AV cable, charging cable, controller adapter so you can use your SNES controllers, and NES adapter so you can play NES games on it (especially great if you or someone on your shopping list can't get an NES Mini. ). I've also used it with the RetroGen adapter (sorry, not included) for Sega Genesis games, so with this one handheld you can play SNES, NES, and Sega Genesis games; all work with their respective EverDrive carts, too.

Demo of me using both together:

NJ pizza > Chicago pizza (though I do enjoy it, I used to walk all the way across the large mall in which I worked to go to the Chicago style pizza place). Jury's still out on hot dogs.

fergojisan got a reaction from The Professor in Venetian blinds? Has any played this
I think it was kind of a joke involved in a lawsuit. I forget who came up with Venetian blinds, maybe Bob Whitehead? It was used in many Atari games (Chess is the one that comes to mind first, perhaps the score in Space Invaders). When the 4 Activision guys left Atari, they were advised not to take anything with them, but the Venetian blinds technique ended up in some of their games (legs in Stampede is what I remember). This may have been after the lawsuit though, I don't think there were any examples before that. It's very subtle in Stampede. When Atari sued Activision, apparently this was going to be brought up, and David Crane made the Venetian blinds Activision demo as a joke because they hadn't actually stolen any trade secrets from Atari.
