Atari 5200 Guy Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I remember being in high school there was a vending machine area close to the cafeteria where you could get a soda from Pepsi and Coke and snacks from Tom's. You don't see much of the Tom's snacks any more. I use to get their version of Doritos and Peanut Roll. Some things were better then. fergojisan and Lost Dragon 2 Quote
fergojisan Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 Bar None is probably my favorite. Not sure if they still make the $100,000 Bar, but that one was good too. Hershey's made a bar in the 90s that had mint cookies in it, I could not get enough of that one. Retrogamer81081 and Lost Dragon 2 Quote
The Professor Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I haven't been able to find Peanutbutter Twix Lost Dragon and RickR 2 Quote
fergojisan Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I haven't been able to find Peanutbutter Twix OMG yes, I love that so much more than the regular. It seems to be available, then not, then available again. I guess it's where you look, the product locator has them available at places like Family Dollar, also pharmacies and supermarkets. But one of the places that's listed as having it is the store where I work. There is no peanut butter Twix there. I go down the candy aisle when I check the doors. I have just learned there is a seasonal gingerbread Twix. Please kill me. Lost Dragon 1 Quote

RickR Posted September 28, 2016 Author Report Posted September 28, 2016 Peanut Butter Twix, Peanut Butter Snickers are two of my favorites, but I think they are seasonal or something. Another one I really loved but no longer seems to be available is Dark Chocolate M&M's. Purple bag. Never can find them anymore. Rowsdower70 and Lost Dragon 2 Quote

atarifan95 Posted September 28, 2016 Report Posted September 28, 2016 I can't think of a candy bar that I used to like, but I DO know a certain restaurant that I still wish was around; Hot 'n Now. Best fries and olive burgers ever! (My family and I admittedly didn't like the milkshakes though.) And sad too, because it went out of business when I was only seven. RickR Posted September 29, 2016 Author Report Posted September 29, 2016 You probably have some fantastic sweets over there we've never heard about I'll bet. Tell us what we're missing. jmjustin6 and Lost Dragon 2 Quote
fergojisan Posted September 29, 2016 Report Posted September 29, 2016 We are missing the Cadbury fruit and nut bar, my mother in law used to give me one of those for the holidays and my birthday and I miss it so much. Also Rowsdower, Aero bars are today's Chocolite. The mint ones are aces. Lost Dragon, RickR and Rowsdower70 3 Quote
RickR Posted September 29, 2016 Author Report Posted September 29, 2016 Not a bar, but i miss them very much Butterfinger BB's were great! A real Butterfingers bar gets stuck all over your teeth. The BB's did not. And i admit, I'm a sucker for any candy with peanut butter. Lost Dragon 1 Quote
Arenafoot Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 Actually, I think they do (I forgot), but am pretty sure it's sibling thingamajig is not. Five Below sells Whatchamacallits. Watchamacallits are one of my favorites, Wal-Mart sells them. I don't remember Thingamajigs at all. Thingamajigs were a limited time only candy bar 2011-2012 from Hershey's - available I found mine at the checkouts of Wal-Mart. Arenafoot Posted September 30, 2016 Report Posted September 30, 2016 I have a rare one I loved but most people never heard of, and I only saw them at Stuckey's: The wrapper above (currently on eBay) actually has Stuckey's Inc. on the label, where the labels I saved from the 80's, have "Standard Candy" above the 2x4 logo: jmjustin6 and Lost Dragon 2 Quote Brian Matherne - owner/curator of "The MOST comprehensive list of Atari VCS/2600 homebrews ever compiled." http://tiny.cc/Atari2600Homebrew author of "The Atari 2600 Homebrew Companion" book series available on Amazon! www.amazon.com/author/brianmatherne
