  1. It seems sort of easy to do. From the looks of it, anyway. I don't know. I have never used a BennVenn or McWill upgrade for my Lynx. It does look promising, though, and the price is right. If you need it, I guess go for it, @Atari 5200 Guy. I know how you feel, though, about upgrading it. But, if it needs to be done, do you have any alternative? That is the $60,000.00 question. Unless you can find original parts, which I am sure are expensive, you might have to go for it. It's up to you. Thanks for letting me share. :O)
  2. Well, even for a rare cart, $570.00 is a lot of money. But, I guess for that cart, it's money well spent because of its rarity. I have seen mint Frogger games on eBay for the Atari 2600 on sale for $999.00. But, they are professionally graded for quality and that's why they are so expensive. They're even sealed for quality in a protective case.
  3. Hello, Atari I/O Users! I have a question for anyone out there who knows this. I want to upgrade my Atari MegaSTE to something somewhat more modern. Here are upgrades I was thinking about: CosmosEx with Raspberry Pi CPU upgrade (is the TF536 ST Edition still discontinued?) RAM upgrade CD-R drive (if possible) A way to hook up my UMAX Astra 1220S scanner to my computer (I have software that may interface with it) SD hard drive interface (like Masteries' ACSI2STM interface or SCSI2SD, or possibly both) A way to hook up a laser printer Possibly, USB ports Is there still a way to get these upgrades done for my MegaSTE? Or, because of the pandemic, am I just wishfully thinking? I really want to get my computer more modernized in some way. Again, if anyone has any info, please respond to this topic. I would be grateful. Thanks. :O)
  4. Hey, guys, I have a question that seems pretty technical. I used MiGraph TouchUp to scan a panoramic image of a skyline I drew in four parts. This was scanned on an Atari 1040STE computer. Here's what I want to do. I now use an Atari MegaSTE computer, and I want to colorize the .IMG images. But, they are gray-scale. Question: how do I convert the .IMG file to color in another program, and what program do I use? TouchUp only works in gray-scale. What other apps for the ST can read .IMG images? If anyone knows here, I would be truly grateful. Here are the apps at my disposal: Batteries Inc. DEGAS & DEGAS Elite Epyx Art & Film Director Atari HyperPaint 2 Rainbird Advanced OCP Art Program NeoChrome MiGraph TouchUp Spectrum 512 Could any of these read .IMG files, or do I need another app? Thanks. :O)
  5. Me neither. It truly is a challenge. Got to hand that to Epyx. They made great games, especially Impossible Mission.
  6. I think I have every Atari NTSC A7800 release myself. It's either 56 or 57 games. Plus, I have 3rd party games for the A7800. I also have Sentinel for the A7800. I would like to get the possible NTSC version of Impossible Mission, which was hacked from PAL of course.
  7. Not at present, but I am considering it. I have to think about it. It was a general question. Thanks. :O)
  8. I have never seen a picture of this game before. I think I have heard of it, though. Interesting.
  9. Anyway, from the specs, it looks like a great machine. I would think the games would look pretty good on there, and from what I have seen they do. Hope it was enjoyable. :O)
  10. Interesting. It would need to be a special board for sure because of the strange size of the ROM. Yeah, I wouldn't know.
  11. If it is from KevinMos3, then it should have had the Mediagenic information on it. But, it doesn't. This is a real toss-up. I know it isn't from Atari themselves. I never had heard of Atari acquiring Froggo Games, unless I missed something. It's probably a made-up label. It looks nice, though. My theory: someone found the ROM and burned it to a cart to make it a repro with his own label. Something is fishy here…
  12. That cartridge might be a KevinMos3 hack to make it look better. I think he did that with Tank Command. He also did it with Rampage and Double Dragon. But, you would think KevinMos3 would have put his info on the label. I don't think it's authentic. I have never seen this variety before.
  13. I have a quick question. Which cart is best for development: Harmony, Melody, or Concerto? I assume the Concerto has the best features. Thanks. :O)
  14. Interesting. It costs about USD$50.00 then, which is quite cheap like you said. Fascinating stuff. Is there tax that needs to be added? Since most people here aren't European Union citizens, I assume there isn't any VAT added. But what about US taxes and tariffs? Are those applicable? Just curious. Thanks. :O)
  15. I have a request. You said there were Atari 5200 FMV demos that could be played on the Atarimax SD cartridge. At least, IIRC. If so, can you post these said demos on your YouTube videos? That would be interesting. I know there are A2600 FMV demos, but I have not seen anything on the A5200 concerning FMV. Thanks. :O)
  16. Mine was similar to that one, but it was white in color. Same principle, though. Those things are pretty cool. :O)
  17. Somewhere, I had a Fisher-Price Movie Viewer, a handheld device that had a crank and a movie cartridge. It was in film format, 8 mm, I believe. Put the cart in the viewer, turn the crank, and watch the movie in adequate lighting. It was better than a standard View-Master because it was animated. Unfortunately, it wasn't 3D like the View-Master. But, it was still a great item. Unfortunately, I can't find it anywhere. It might have been stolen. Bummer.
  18. Cool, Gianna. That must have been a nice experience. Thanks for posting. :O)
  19. John Astin is an amazing guy. He is in his nineties now. He's been around for a long time in the acting business.
  20. Interesting stuff, Justin. I wonder if video arcades are still the norm in Tokyo. They sure aren't here, and that's too bad. Bummer.
  21. You can also click on the black text next to any link to download. It will download as a ZIP file everything on that link. It works the same way as the circled black-text link on the picture posted by RickR, only it's more specific to the individual links. Thanks. :O)
