  1. Dang, I think this is another case of my memory failing. Commodore tapes weren't stereo...they wrote each program twice and had parity bits or something like that. In any case, it does work. I made myself a 90 minute tape full of "greatest hits" for the C64 back before multicarts or disk emulation existed.
  2. With apologies to any fans of the "Enterprise" theme....
  3. OH! It has to be stereo. Commodore uses both channels for error correction. There is a very inexpensive and awesome multicart called "Behr-bonz". Look it up and give that a try. All of the commercial carts on one multi-cart.
  4. Try adjusting the recording levels if you can (or the volume on the computer program playing the WAV file). I've had good luck making tapes from WAV, but I use a full sized stereo tape deck with adjustable recording levels.
  5. VIC-20 stuff. That is my original VIC-20 purchased back in the early 80's from Montgomery Wards.
  6. Yes they are, and they also kick the Plimptons off the lousy Intellivision controllers.
  7. Have a great time! I love that shows have restarted.
  8. This is how people found out they were going to be parents in the 1980s.
  9. Here is the steering wheel I have. It works nicely. I like the rumbling effect.
  10. I just e-mailed you the files I use. I've been using "MameUI". It requires a 64 bit Windows OS, but it seems a lot easier to set up for me. http://www.mameui.info/
  11. She did a great job and hopefully we see more of her directing for Star Trek!
  12. Your entry here made me think of something to try. I have a PS2 steering wheel, but haven't ever tried it on PS1 racing games (played on the PS2). I should give this a try, as it would give some of these older games a new life.
  13. -8!!! I love this game because you get better as you play more.
  14. That's good stuff. Thanks for posting it. I think she directed Ep 4 too.
  15. Free right now:  Demon's Tilt for Windows.  Thank you @Atari 5200 Guy for the heads up on this.

You're welcome. I tried it. Reminds me of Devil's Crush.

  16. I like ET a ton more than Raiders of the Lost Ark. I can appreciate the scope of Raiders and what HSW was trying to accomplish, but I thought it was way too obscure and difficult, and really frustrating to play. I guess ET gets a worse rap for the much bigger expectations for reasons that aren't really fair.
  17. Welcome Frédéric! I'm happy to have you here. It's very impressive to have made all of those Lynx games.
  18. Didn't the EU version of the 7800 have "3D Asteroids" built in? If yes, which is the better pack-in? I'd say it's an even decision. Both games are excellent.
  19. oh! I'd love to know the differences. I was really wondering if there were any major differences between the various platforms for the games.
  20. S2 E4 was very good. It's a lot of fun to spot the little Easter eggs sprinkled throughout each episode.
  21. My next item up for sale is an Atari 1025 printer.  Local pickup in Portland, OR :) (it's HEAVY and would cost a bundle to ship).
