We have lift off! The box is now headed to Creepville, USA.

    Happy Early Birthday!
I'm honored to help build your Atari collection. I tried to only put in Atari games I didn't think you had (Plus one of my personal favorite games growing up). I also put in a bunch of non Atari games, but I have no idea if you need them or not. Please, feel free to take all you want!!!!

I will pm you the tracking info later.

It's true.  Those have been some of my biggest resell items of all time.  I've purchased HP 11C / 12C's at Goodwill for $10 and sold them in August for over $100.  Even the non-popular models can double your investment.

Here's a good one.  Wouldn't you hate to have been the sucker that paid $75?

I coil the cables in the hallow part of the controllers and then fit them into the slots on the console.

And here she is in final cleaned-up shape.  There's a bit of discoloration on top, but no big deal.  The power adapter has been rewired the right way.  Everything works great.  One question -- Is there a secret to getting the controller wires in to the controllers fit in the slots?  Were controller slots EVER a good idea?

Those calculators are pure gold.  Easy to resell on ebay, especially if you wait until August/September "Back to school" time.  Nice finds.

The games were all factory sealed, and I got it for less than the TI-89 is worth!  (local Goodwill)

You did plastic surgery on it.  It does look pretty good.

Oh man!  The little discs went with the ET's?  I was wondering what those were for!  And here I took an ET and no stand.  Oh well.

Great great stuff you all put in.

I'm pretty happy with the results.  I used some glue stick and tape.

I uploaded this as unlisted so let me know if the link is not working. I have a video I am uploading tonight and didn't want to bombard my channel. I will make it public Monday!

I'm gonna post them as I come across them....

Not a bad price here.  But this box needs some help.  As much as I hate to do it, tape must be used.

You guys, I just scored an Intellivision 2!  It's really dirty, but it seems to work great.  I got it from ebay -- and the seller was Goodwill in Seattle.  The power adapter is really trashed (wire has been cut, connector is really messed up), but I have a spare, and I will fix the one that came with it properly.

First impression:  The RF signal on this thing is amazing.  LOOK at that picture quality!  I'm very impressed.  And the controllers...I've heard they were worse than the original controllers...but I like them...a lot.  They are thicker and easier to hold.  And the disc feels more like a gamepad than the old controllers.  Well, I've got some cleaning to do, and I'll post a pic again once I get it shiny.

I do need someone to explain the power/reset button on this thing.  How do you turn it off?

For as long as I can remember I've always believed that RCA's CED players and movies were good.  Not great mind you but OK.  For those that think I'm crazy, and you are probably right, the time the CED came out there really was no Dolby Surround Sound available for the home market in my area.  We had simple, monaural (or mono if you prefer), video equipment.  So having movies that could play in Stereo sound when you didn't have the stereo equipment to play it on didn't matter much.  Once my family moved on to VHS it was the same thing; stereo sound didn't matter as long as the sound was easy to hear without having to crank the volume up on the TV...and there were some cheap knock-off pre-recorded tapes where the audio was horrible and something that stereo sound could not help.

Sorry...got a bit side tracked.  The CED format always fascinated me because of how it worked.  I had more fun watching the player take the discs, play them, watch the stylus sweep across the disc, and the disc get returned back to the caddy and the door close.  I don't know how many times we had to replace the loading/unloading belts on the SJT models.  And me being only 8-years old I was not afraid to take the top off to find out how to do it myself since the only dealer in the area stopped messing with the format altogether.

As a YouTuber I enjoy watching videos on older technology that was either a part of my childhood or I missed completely.  I had little idea that a similar CED format was on the market...only in Japan.  It never ceases to amaze me how things America invented and developed Japan has always tried to perfect similar ideas.  And the CED format was not safe either.  Nothing against Japan as it is one location I would love to visit but the one CED-like player I watched in the video I am about to share here took the CED format and improved it.  Seriously, the machine in this video is pretty neat.

The fun stuff about the machine starts around 11:00 in.  But watch how the National machine loads and unloads these movie discs...it's very cool!

correagonzalez, your "what-I-took" photo looks a lot like my "what-I-put-in" photo...

Was gonna post a video too, but really the only thing I mention in the video that's not in the photo is that the Buggy Quest handheld belonged to me and my brother growing up.  We got it in the early 1990s, I assume when it was new.  It still works, and it's pretty fun!  The random-sound-effect button on it is a cool bonus feature.  Anyway I knew you collected them, so I'm glad you're keeping it.

Thanks for hosting this round of the RJB!
