I managed to get 127,753. A small tip is to get mid air kills early for extra lives.

For starters...20313.  Brought JR out for a change.  I still need to replace the Power and TV Type switches but it still works.

    Here is what I took.
First of all, I feel that this Elmo's 123's was put in there specifically for me by NSG.  If so, THANK YOU.  It looks good next to my Elmos' ABC's.  And it reminds me of my oldest child when he was a toddler.  Priceless.

And here's the bulk of what I took.  I feel like the PSP games were in there for me, and I thank you, mystery giver, for them!  Does anyone else collect for PSP?

I really agonized over the Wico 5200 stick.  It's so cool, but I feel selfish for taking it.  At the same time, it took up a lot of real estate in the box!  NSG or Willie, if one of you would like it, I'm happy to ship it to you separately.
The football homebrew is so cool!  It's a 2600 version of the Mattel handheld football.  In case you don't know, I'm the weird gamer that really loves sports games.  So that game and the SNES baseball will be played a lot.
I also hogged the 2600 games, figuring Willie and NSG probably already had them.  The boxes are a little rough, but I really dig the price tags.  Activision Skiing is a game in which I earned the patch, so having a boxed copy is really nice.
Oooh, and an NSG card pack.  I'm hoping for a few Oregon Duck players in there!
Below is some stuff I took mostly to get the space for more games in the box.  PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, if anyone wants any of this, I'm happy to ship it separately.  Given that, the Star Trek book will be read and enjoyed, I promise.  And I really like the ESPN movies.  And the multi-system cable is handy.

Lastly, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you.  Especially NSG for hosting the box.  It really is a lot of fun.
The box is stuffed full again, and I'll get it out to Willie as soon as I can.

Oh man, that's a tough call.

Before you decide, let it cool down overnight.  Unplug it, turn it on, then off.  It is possible that once all the capacitors are discharged, it may fire back up.  Summer heat may have caused the shutdown.  That thing is pretty cool.  Definitely worth keeping, but that's just my opinion.
On the other hand, you might spend a day or two looking at Facebook marketplace.  That's where I found two really nice sets over the last couple of months.
Good luck.  Start another thread if you feel like it.  I'd like to see how this turns out.

Squad Challenge ends 11:59 pm PST July 30th, 2019

HOWARD SCOTT WARSHAW DAY: July 30th is our 6th Annual Howard Scott Warshaw Day! Howard was a game designer at Atari who was responsible for creating some of the 2600’s most memorable titles. Howard’s birthday is July 30th. We’ve chosen HSW's birthday to celebrate Howard’s creations as one of Atari’s most prolific game designers. Howard's games encapsulate so much of what Atari was about, it's a fun reason to break out the 2600 and have fun playing Atari games with friends and family. To celebrate HSW Day, we're playing Yars' Revenge on the ULTIMATE YARS setting this weekend!

OBJECTIVE: Play for the highest possible score using the difficulty settings defined in the challenge. Post a photo or video of your score in this thread. Scores must be achieved between July 27th through July 30th, 2019. Screen captures are not allowed as they are easily manipulated for falsified scores. Multiple submissions are permitted. The player with the highest score at the end of the competition is the victor!

ELIGIBILITY: Anyone can join in. All players are welcome!

PLAY RULES: Games may be played on real hardware, Flashback or emulation, using any controller or keyboard, following rules and game settings as delineated in the Squad Challenge. Enhancements, rewinds and hacked versions of this game are not allowed.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL: ULTIMATE YARS: GAME 6 - Ultimate Yars features a bouncing Zorlon Cannon, plus some unusual twists that distinguish it from the other Yar games. First, you must bounce the Yar against the left side of the screen to make the Zorlon Cannon appear. Also, to make the cannon appear, you need five TRONS. TRONS are units of energy which you can collect at the following rate:

Eat a cell from the shield: 1 TRON Touch the Qotile: 2 TRONS Catch a Zorlon Cannon shot after it bounces off the shield: 4 TRONS
If a Yar bounces on the left side with less than five TRONS, it will not get a shot, but it won't lose the TRONS it has either. (Each time a Yar is destroyed, it loses its TRONS). Each Yar has a capacity of 255 TRONS.If a Yar tries to take on more than that, it will short out and the Yar will lose all its TRONS. The count of TRONS is not displayed on the screen. Yar scouts understand the count instinctively.

FAIR PLAY: Players should play fairly, be honest, and have fun! Falsified scores will result in your immediate removal from the site. It goes without saying that no use of cheats, hacks, cartridge frying, enhancements, rewinds, Photoshop, subterfuge, or any other unfair advantage is allowed. Everybody hates a cheater.

Roadblasters, Indy TOD, and Marble Madness are all classics.  I've never heard of Peter Packrat.  Maybe I should look that one up on MAME!
I remember whipping those Thugee guards (Indy) in college late at night after studies were done.  Our student center had Indy, and we gave it a pretty good workout.

It's funny you phrased it that way. I always thought the same thing. In the mid-80s, (certainly before I had seen the NES) I always saw the Atari 7800 as a robust, industrial strenth arcade machine, the same way we saw the Neo-Geo Gold a few years later. The 7800 was released in 1984 in some markets. Had Warner held on a few more months (even if they ended up "loaning" the company to Jack) the 7800 would've seen national distribution and perceptions would be different. That two year gap cost them big time.
What's more is Atari's loss of the Lorraine chipset from Amiga, which Atari had licensed for a new video game system. Imagine Amiga-like graphics on a home video game system from Atari in 1986. That TRULY would have been an arcade-quality console and would have been a 16-Bit console on the market 5 years before SNES reached US shores.

What a brutal squad challenge, my 19" Philco TV kinda died 😢
While in attract mode it just turned itself off.
I can't seem to find what year this thing was made. there is still a local TV repair shop and I guess I could take it there. but I think it's $50.oo just to drop the thing off for them to look at ( was a few years ago anyways )
I kinda suspect it was Karma from LMAO @Atari Creep 's video above earlier that night.
I guess I'm looking for recommendations ,  have it fixt or toss it

With the move and losing the garage I have to downsize a bit. A lot of stuff is going into storage and I may post it as I go through it. Some stuff I just won't have space for.
    Up for grabs:
    1. 24" Sanyo Flat CRT TV circa 2003.  The TV is in good cosmetic and working order. Multiple inputs including S-video and composite. Pick-up only in Long Beach, CA. Must get by next Tuesday (7/30).
    2. Set of retro gaming themed propaganda posters by illustrator Steve Thomas. The posters were stapled to the garage wall for years and are not pristine but still look cool.  Free + shipping and packing.
See pics below.  More to come in the next several weeks and months including loose carts.
