  1. So a YouTuber I follow explored an old video rental place that is abandoned in the middle of nowhere. All he showed was a shelf of Genesis cases and a bunch of VHS tapes. Something tells me that there is a lot more than just Genesis cases there. I bet they might even have things up to the N64 but that is just me speculating. There could be systems, rental cases, who knows what all could be hiding there!!!!! So I did a bit of research and found the location and contacted the Mayor's office in the town it is located in. I requested to be in touch with anyone that is responsible for the property in the very off chance they might let me go picking. My plan, should it become a reality is to road trip there, (about 1200 miles from me) grab EVERYTHING I can and sort it all out here at home. This is an amazing find and should I be able to pull this off EVERYONE (within reason anyway) that I know in the hobby that has a a true passion for this will benefit from this seeing that most rental places carried multiple copies of stuff. It's a smaller place so I could be wrong there. Wish me luck!!!!
  2. Yup. It didn't sell so well in N. America so carts a re tough to come by. I only know 1 person that had a SMS growing up. Nintendo dominated the market and had an illegal strong hold on 3rd party developers and as we all know a system without games will not do well or fail all together.
  3. I have a second one here that is not getting any use. Not sure if I have all the cords for it or if it even works. If you are interested I will pull it out to test it and get it over to ya!!!! Message me if you are interested.
  4. I will always say a Master System but the original model. HOWEVER you can't go wrong with a PBC either. I say if you do not have a lot of space get a PBC and a model 1 Genesis!!!! Sega Master System is Frankie approved!!!!!
  5. I have been in talks with Hyperkin regarding a pre 8-bit console. Not sure if it will go anywhere but keeping hope alive. LOL I will update you folks as we go!!!!!!! Unless they tell me to keep my mouth shut!

  13. I in secret liked them. Being a thrash metal kat I had to hide my inner poser. HAHAHA Side note, I recorded at a studio in Cambridge that was run by Strypers drummer I was told!
  14. So my last video got me thinking WAY too much about the whole pre 8-bit multi console thing. Not sure if it would make any difference but I would love to start a small movement in that direction. I did message Hyperkin about it but not too sure where to go with this! Maybe reach out to some cool tech kats and see what is doable or not.

I'd love to have an Atari/INTV/Coleco combo. It would be awesome for the whole hobby, I think.

We gotta have someway to keep these consoles alive and well as we don't know how long they will last. I'd hate to see them end up like the unit Wall-E plays :( Use a custom board or got with a Pi. Using an Android PC might work as well.

  15. That's odd. They were taped shut in their little plastic shells. Guess in their travels they were removed to save space.
