  1. I'm pretty much outta room myself, but I'd prolly beable to finagle a spot for that in my kitchen

I had only heard that it is possibly the heaviest arcade cab for its size

I see a "make offer" on it perhaps if the guy doesn't have to help you move it it'll help on the price :D

  2.    I have been drifting away from the retro home gaming stuff myself somewhat and have moved on to playing competitive pinball. I haven't decided to get out of retro gaming it had just taken more of a back seat. That said I discovered on my road trips to find all the various what-nots. I would find in all my time testing the items the working stuff would get put on a shelf and the non-working stuff got the majority of the attention and the enjoyment was getting these things to work.

My skills have improved in the tinkering but still far from what the professionals do in their diagnostic approach. The experiences I have gained have moved onto pinball ownership and fixing of my own machines. I am finding my limits there as well but celebrate  others that find the areas of my limits to be more of a success (painting of all things is one of my weaknesses :P )

I had recently just heard of "Makerspaces" https://www.makerspaces.com/what-is-a-makerspace/and may venture down that avenue.

So I suppose to answer the question of the title I would say it IS normal to get the blues about the piles of stuff that doesn't work. I still find it interesting to tinker. I haven't measured my success rate as of late on retro systems but know for sure it isn't very high. ( thinking of a couple of identical pong systems that I am not sure are working properly)

  3. I was in a gamestore lastweekend & the clerk mentioned to another customer search Newegg.com

    https://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=HDMI%20-%3E%20composite%20adapter&bop=And&Order=BESTSELLING&PageSize=36

    I sorted by best selling

I have no personal experience as of yet with the thing

sorted the wrong way :( https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAB4F5R42992&cm_re=HDMI_to_composite-_-9SIAB4F5R42992-_-Product

  4. if you're ever up in NH http://funspotnh.com/has an Atari Canyon Bomber & Atari Video Pinball among many other awesome games.

they have been there for at-least the past 5 years I had visited anyways, both were in a tournament I had attended once. I might have cleared a screen ONCE also, very challenging

    great games!!!

  5. So i just picked this baby up and i am going to start the project of turning this into a gameboy game display case. I saw a couple people on facebook do it so i searched my area for one and found it. Cant wait till its done.

there are places that make custom trans-lights the only example I can think of is Metal Jesus's  MAME cab:

I know a couple of guys that have these with custom marquees ,

there is probably a simple way to make them yourself with PETG plexiglass & translucent decals

will be great to see your progress on this, it'll be a very handsome way to display your GB games
