    I have 2600, 5200 and 7800. I WILL have a Jaguar one day!

Ok, so maybe I was having a bit of a laugh with my first list.

My real top five as they stand today are:
    Tempest 2000
    Zero 5
    Missile Command 3D
    Skyhammer
    Rayman

There are obviously other games that I'd include in a "Top 10" or "Top 15" but I find that limiting it to five really makes you think about it.

No. You could do it in C. On the GPU.

The workaround for the GPU hardware bug still needs to be found for it.

For a console that is so often maligned, I personally have no problem finding Jaguar games that I still enjoy playing. Even many of the bad games have a "so bad its good quality". What are the Jaguar games that you consistently go back to? In your view, what games still offer something to gamers nearly 20 years after Jaguar's demise? Which games are good enough to make your Jaguar Top 5?

    Here is my list:

    Club Drive
    Checkered Flag
    Double Dragon 5
    Supercross 3D
    Blackout!

I thought it would be cool if we could post photos and share stories of our first car

My first car was AMC Eagle 4 x 4 station wagon. I think it was a 1986 model. AMC owned Jeep then and put a Jeep powertrain in an older AMC Sportabout wagon design. It had lots of power, room for all your gear, drove like a car and it could plow through mud and snow like a Jeep. My friends and I would take this on camping trips and tailgates and had lots of good times at a drive in movie theater that was still around back then. I can't find a picture of it right this sec but here's what it looked like in the brochure:

Well I don't have a picture of it, but this one is identical ...mine wasn't in quite as pristine condition.

It's a 1970 Dodge Dart (not the Swinger) 4 door, 225 Slant 6 engine.    Tough as nails.  I think my stereo cost more than the car.

I don't have any original pictures of me and my first car any more, I don't think, but it was a 1976 Monte Carlo with a 400 big-block and Quadro-Jet 4-barrel carb. It was Canary yellow. Net picture below, just imagine that in yellow, and a guy with long, dirty blond hair and wearing a leather biker jacket with a Camel sticking out of his mouth and you have me. Of course I owned it in about '86. God, I loved that car and beat the living hell out of it street racing and doing dry pavement donuts and we (me and buddies) would hold the brakes and spin the tires on our cars to see who could do the biggest smoke show, in the high school parking lot of course, until the principal broke it up! I went through a LOT of used tires on that car, and surprisingly, never blew the motor or dropped the transmission! I did drive it through the woods once, just stoned and drunk,   with a load of friends, and nearly wedged it between two trees! I made it through, but had big dents and scrapes down both sides of it after that!

Yes, I knew that and forgot. Sorry I didn't remember to mention Video 61, I think I got some Lynx games from you like 15 years ago, didn't you, or don't you carry Road Riot 4WD for instance? I think that's one I got from you. Anyway, as soon as I get my Lynx fixed, I'll probably get some games from you, including Road Riot if you carry it, as I gave away on system to my nephew years ago, and sold another about 10 years ago, so I'm practically starting fresh. I think all I have at the moment is Steel Talons and Jimmy Connor's tennis and one or two other games.

While the Lynx has a bloody great list of games from beginning to end, my favorites for it are some of the "3D" games like  Warbirds, Road Riot 4WD, S.T.U.N Runner, Checkered Flag, Blue Lighting,  Steel Talons,  Battlezone 2000(especially the TRUE hidden easter-egg version) ,Battlewheels, Alien vs, Predator, Alpine Games, Hyperdrome, Hydra, and Songbird's Cybervirus, Remnant and the 2D overhead racer Championship Rally.

Probably because I didn't get a Lynx until after I had a Jaguar, and everyone, including me, wanted 3D at that time...in more recent years I have started enjoying a lot more of it's 2D library. But I gave my Lynx to my nephew with all my 30-40 games and the big softcase. I now have a Lynx 2 with a few games, but it's not working.

Everyone knows about Songbird Productions Lynx (and ahem, Jaguar) releases, right? And some of those titles were only prototypes (but finished) until B&C computervisions published their "chip on a PCB" versions.

No other portable could dream of handling games like these until at least the Gameboy Advance, if not even later portables. Lynx was the most powerful portable system for a decade or more.

I wonder how good they stick? Being that the surface is round and the shape is curved, you would think they wouldn't hold on the cart too good.

I really like Cybermorph. I had one of the very first Jaguars out of Sunnyvale and the game felt groundbreaking at the time. I felt there could have been more music and tighter fit and finish to the game, but that's to be expected from the Tramiels and I was used to that on the Lynx. Still an enjoyable game that I spent hours playing.

I need to pick up a Cybermorph just to play for kicks, I never got it as a pack in so I have no idea how it plays other then what the internet tells me.

The Jaguar for me was the system that was doing what the other guys weren't, it was like a total break away from the past and we were witnessing the future of what was to come in gaming.  No more side scrollers, no more 2d games of the past, I really bought into the 3D power this cat could deliver.
But that was the down fall, I feel like all that power and energy went into the tech and the game play took a hit.

The cool thing about the Jaguar is that the hit games were unique to the Jag and no one else had anything like it.

Your lynx problems sound like cap problems, you might have bad caps and I believe there is a cap kit that can get you back in action.  I know ebay has a few options for the Game Gear so I would think that a lynx one is out there too.

It is sad when I know the ol' Lynx will win the CF comparison hands down without even watching your vid yet. Unless you are just looking at still shots, which with Jaguar CF, you almost are...

I need that VGA out LCD screen upgrade. But my Lynx turns on, but won't show anything on screen, but at the same time there's no sound or any indication it's only the screen, so unfortunately I may just have to get another Lynx. Because I don't know that the upgrade would fix my problems. I was going to order a new screen from Best Electronics, and if that wasn't the problem, then start trouble shooting it more. But after seeing this upgrade, I don't want to just replace the screen with the same old screen! A conundrum for me...

Another great video! Looking forward to seeing the video capture using McWill's excellent VGA out. This will really set your videos apart as most others either try to film the screen or use emulation.

Also, it would be great to get a drink recipe episode. The drinks of the Lynx Lounge!

I think it's probably lost on people who don't remember it at the time just how big of a leap the Jaguar was in 1993 and how incredible the games looked when we first saw them in magazines. They were magical. I played Cybermorph for hours.
