Lunch with wife and son #1 at Little Big Burger, which was delicious. Here is their website. They seem to be growing rapidly, and if you have one in your city....highly recommended. Sadly very meh, won’t return, presentation, atmosphere were great, food “looked” good but tasted no where near matching, so bland, don’t know if low quality ingredients but even I could prepare better-tasting food and that is saying something 🤷but you don’t know until you try so it’s off the list. I know this sounds boring, but I had a hankering for their Kung Pao (which is about as spicy as I like to go). We decided to drive to a location that's pretty far away from us (there are two that are much closer) because reasons. Location closest to us is always packed and it isn't comfortable to be in such a crowded dining room, nor is it kept that clean. Location #2 is in a mall, and it's super hard to find a decent parking space that isn't a mile away. Anyway, the Gladstone location is excellent and very large. It had a reasonably sized crowd. Occasionally we get a craving for a place we shouldn't for sure, here it is called Asian Pear but we went out of convenience, crowded, sub-par, we are done with that place now though, once you've experienced so many better places old ones get pushed farther down that list but we are constantly trying to find new places to add. We actually feel bad giving a place overall a thumbs down but we got to be honest and try to be fair. The place looks gorgeous but the service sucks, sucks, sucks, sucks! We spent 30 minutes at the table waiting for someone to just bring is water. Never mind the waiter taking another 15 minutes. Then we ordered (it was for brunch), and they didn't have everything that we ordered from the menu they gave us. So, some folks had to change their orders. The food took forever to arrive. My omelet was anything but. They made scrambled eggs and thew ham on them. The most expensive eggs I've had! The restaurant's name is Haven and it is inside the Wave hotel in Lake Nona. Dinner on the day we arrived was my favorite meal there (and we had a lot of fabulous meals) -- variety of side dishes to be mixed with the barley (no white rice) bibimbap style along with grilled fish and marinated pork ribs.
