Now, there are tons of fancy bbq places to choose from, but this one, even with it's old dankness, has the very best brisket in town. Melts in your mouth good. Definitely not fancy, but outstanding food. Plus, those cactus lights always look like they are flipping me off, which I appreciate. Dinner was great, and it was a calm and relaxing time for sure. I'm sorry, but I didn't get any pictures of that. Today for lunch, I went for my annual tradition of salad, personal pizza, and soda at a long-time Portland establishment called "Pietro's". Delish as always. It's a top a mountain and you can see three towns, hence the name. We also went to have ice cream at a nearby town... We checked out a new restaurant called Gracia in Seattle. I went there with a co-worker for lunch for the first time a month ago and liked it a lot. Started with fried calamari and then empanada and a dish with slightly spicy octopus and smoky pork belly (I forget the name), and finished with made-to-order churros that came with chocolate fondue. Everything was excellent. This is a Mexican restaurant, but it's not the common Americanized(?) burritos and taco kind of place.
