Nope, it's the 24th. The Colecovision model number is 2400.

I know it no longer worth anything beyond as a collectible, but it's still cool to have!

As some of you know, I was able to get my hands on an Intellivsion Demonstration Cart.
In this video I talk a little about it and show it in action.

Who knows? I may end up enjoying Swordquest Fireworld!

So actually it was a friend of mine who saw this picked it up for me. I paid for it about 2 and a half weeks ago. I got it barely yesterday being that he lives about 2 hours from me and I saw him finally yesterday. Check out what I got!

What an awesome addition to the collection. It was found at a thrift shop. Unfortunately it wasn't like $3 or anything like that. that would have been awesome. Although if that were the case my buddy probably would have kept it. I felt I got a really good deal on it and I'm really happy with it.

As most of you know, the Mrs and I piddle around with selling games and game related crafts for quite some time.

Well, we've decided to take the next step.   We're going to the County Clerk this week to register a DBA form for our new business, and we are rebranding from  The Nerdery of Southeast Texas to....

    The Game Czar
    "Where the Games Are"

I am hiring a friend who is a talented graphic artist to give us a logo and banner art to work with, and we've signed on for Retropalooza V in Dallas (the big one).

It's a big step, and I'm nervous and excited.

My experience at Atari.IO over the past couple of years has definitely expanded my desire to make this work in some capacity, so thank you guys.

Good thoughts and prayers are appreciated!

Unfortunately, despite things that actually were under my control, this episode is not live from Midwest Gaming Classic. If you're at Midwest Gaming Classic, come visit the Pie Factory Podcast table and try out some homebrews, including a few that haven't yet been released! In the mean time, you can listen to some thoughts on Super Pac-Man, yet another classic from Bob "PacManPlus" DeCrescenzo.

This is ringing some faint bells for me, believe it or not. Despite my better judgment, I included the words "red tube" in a search, but only came up with the Pente game, which is decidedly not electronic. There were some other results that I won't go into here.

Can't wait to hear it! It's going to rain all week, which means I'll be stuck in a CTA Red Line train on the way to and from work, and I'll need some Fergness to get me through!

Ugh, I am so bad at this. I didn't realize this post was stickied, thanks to Justin (?) for doing that, I am honored!

    Some recent highlights:

I talked with Mike Montana, son of Glib programmer Rich Montana, for the Glib episode. It was great talking with him, and I found out he works in the same town in which I grew up! Small world.

I also spoke with Joe Grand, who created the wonderful homebrew game SCSIside. He has done so many cool things that we talked about on the show. I had a great time talking with him as well.

I am currently running a contest to win an Atari 2600 Jr. with a bunch of games. If you'd like to enter, you can listen to this short episode to find out how.

Finally, I am taking a bit of a break from regular 2600 episodes. I am burnt out, and doing the podcast is more work than fun. I want to talk about other things to get me back to a good place with the 2600 stuff, so I have started what I'm calling Bonus Tracks, which will be sporadic episodes about random non-2600 stuff. I posted the first one today, which is about when I was a paperboy in the 80s.

That was a very nice email from Brice, about mid-way through the podcast. So nice to know that so many great Atari gamers are out there. Thank you Brice for becoming an Atari I/O Member and thank you Ferg for speaking so highly of us on the podcast. It's incredibly encouraging.

Funny that Chess-King came up on the podcast, I was just talking about that store last night. We were watching Fast Times at Ridgemont High, started talking about Florsheim Shoes and all of the other stores that used to be in every mall in America and all seem to be gone now.
