  1. There is a way to play SMS games using the Genesis Everdrive, but I can't find it at the moment. I will search. Thanks. :O)
  2. I like any of the Woodies. I don't have one now, but I have an operational Atari 2600 Jr. Short Rainbow model. I used to have a Vader and a 4-Switch Woodie, but they were stolen. I have never had a H6R of any model A2600, though. I would love to get one, though. When I had a ColecoVision, I had the A2600 adapter for it, but I traded it in for store credit at a video game store in my hometown. The only issue with my Short Rainbow is the cracked case, which I could cosmetically repair if I had the materials. I could also do it almost flawlessly with the right materials. Anyway, that's what I prefer aside from the A7800. I also have a Supercharger cart, which only works on the A2600. That's my story. Thanks. :)
  3. Isn't this the design from Benjamin Heckendorn? I have seen something like this before.
  4. Atari could have acquired those rights to PPII in 1983. Heck, they could have created the cartridge in 1983 for 1984 release. I don't know. But, you're right, as the A7800 was supposed to be released in 1984 and was pushed back to I believe 1986. I got my first A7800 around Christmas of 1987 or 1988. I think it was a mistake to not release it before the NES was released in 1985. A colossal mistake.
  5. Plus, I also have great respect for indigenous people. That was a good PR move for Atari at the time.
  6. Since I am a Crystal Castles fan, I will go with Bentley. You could never knock the "Bentster!" Did you know he was originally going to be named Braveheart Bear? Atari decided on Bentley because they didn't want to racially offend the indigenous people in North America. I think it was a smart idea to name him Bentley. It fits. Thanks for letting me share. :)
  7. Agreed. Maybe something will come out of this that is really good. I hope so. :O)
  8. I use VirtualBox now and then myself. In my case, it runs Windows 7 and Linux on my iMac. It's a good virtualization program (hey, it's free). I like it. :O)
  9. Interesting. It's too bad the computer camps didn't take off. I think it's a great idea. :O)
  10. At least they will work better for you, or they should. Still seems expensive. :)
  11. I also welcome you to the Forum. It's a very friendly place to be. :)
  12. Kung-Fu Master is one that could be considered NES-like because it was also ported to the NES (as Kung-Fu). Alien Brigade is another good one. You could play that game with either the joystick or gun. Both are good examples, to me anyway. The other games mentioned are also great examples.
  13. I would recommend using a microfiber cloth affixed to the credit card. That should do the trick, unless there is something else wrong with the machine.
  14. Agreed. It looks to me like it may be a dirty cartridge. If that doesn't work, then check the chips and motherboard. You might want to clean the cartridge port on the 2600 with alcohol as well. A little bit of rubbing alcohol on a useless credit card with some fabric on it might do the trick. :O)
  15. I have a lot of dreams about protecting my Atari game collection from getting parts of it stolen. I guess I am very conscious of that. Valuable stuff, you know. :O)
  16. They tried McDonald's Pizza here in America in the 1990s. Unfortunately, the pitch bombed. I remember a friend of mine trying it. That was the only time I saw it, around 1991-92. I have Sneak King for the XBOX. But, I can't play it because I don't have an XBOX. I just got it for collector's reasons.
  17. Interesting. Thanks for the tip, RickR. This is a cool tutorial. :O)
  18. That would be interesting. Like a pith helmet or Fedora. Indy wore a Fedora. :O)
  19. Amazing stuff. Interesting how Raptor BASIC and JagStudio can create a game. Seems easy enough, but I can understand it can take a lot to learn it. Thanks for showing. :)
  20. I don't know if it is ready for sale yet. It looks like SainT is searching for third-party retailers at the moment.
  21. This is excellent news, Sabertooth. Thanks for posting. :O)
