No photos, thankfully, but mine was a 1980 Buick Regal which I bought in the summer of 1992. It was a boat and did not run well. I don't think I spent more than $500 on it, so I guess I should have been happy it ran at all. I certainly don't have any fond memories of the six months I had it.

Since my last update, I showed what I took out of the recent Arcade USA Retro Junk Box, reviewed the Atari 7800 games Robotron 2084 & F-18 Hornet and also covered the 2600 versions of Dig Dug and Pete Rose Baseball.

I got my 1983 Toyota Camry LE 5 door in 1989 w/ 39k miles. Then bought a LeBra for it and then had the 7 windows tinted with limo tint all around.

Here's mine.    Loved this car.  Very reliable.  Had a bench seat!  I sold it in 1990 when I bought my very first new car (a 1990 Honda Civic).  If I ever collect old cars, I'm going to start with a really old Toyota or Honda.

I thought it would be cool if we could post photos and share stories of our first car

My first car was AMC Eagle 4 x 4 station wagon. I think it was a 1986 model. AMC owned Jeep then and put a Jeep powertrain in an older AMC Sportabout wagon design. It had lots of power, room for all your gear, drove like a car and it could plow through mud and snow like a Jeep. My friends and I would take this on camping trips and tailgates and had lots of good times at a drive in movie theater that was still around back then. I can't find a picture of it right this sec but here's what it looked like in the brochure:

I have a new post up on the blog about Adam Savage and his love of Millipede. Adam Savage is co-host (along with Jamie Hyneman) of the Discovery Channel television series MythBusters. Adam is absolutely enthralled with Millipede, and has been ever since he first discovered the game as a teenager while working at a bar as a busboy in 1984. He recently purchased a Millipede arcade machine which he found Craigslist, which he then modified and tries to play every day. Adam plays through a few levels of Millipede and gives a good demonstration of the game in a “Show and Tell” video which you can see on the blog.

I've never used a Supercharger but I always liked the idea of it. And that you could get those CD/MP3 compilations. I thought the games looked closer to the NES or at least Coleco than some of the regular 2600 games that were out at that time.

The Frogger port blows my mind to this day.  It just makes the 2600 feel like a whole new machine.

I definitely need to snag up Adventures of Tron.  There was never an Intellivision version of that as far as I know.

Oh NICE one, of all the ways I can play a 2600 cart this method still eludes me lol, so cool I gotta get one someday especially considering my only Intellivision is an INTV II anyways lol. That one looks very clean. Funny both Colecovision and Intellivision got expansions to play 2600 but the good old 2600 was never given ability to play Intellivision / Colecovision, yeah I know it was the less powerful console but just funny how that was. If you had an Intellivision and this add-on you would have been doing pretty damn good I think.

    Starpath Supercharger for 2600.

Anyone have one? I don't but hope to someday just for collecting purposes more then anything, will have to wait though until things improve but always found the concept intriguing. So my understanding is the device plugs in like a cartridge and has built in memory (and maybe some other bits) to play more advanced games on Atari 2600 compatible systems? The original games came on cassette I know but various sources has converted them to mp3 so any mp3 playback device could be used instead.

I even have most of the games that were converted back to ROM format which I use on my Harmony Cart and yeah the games are pretty impressive, I played Frogger and could not believe the difference! I guess between my Harmony and converted roms there really is not much reason to own an original Super Charger other than the cool factor, well I think it's cool, that's why we love this stuff right? , what you see in this picture is about the only thing I have relating to the device, Stella Gets a new Brain v2.0, these are a collection of the Starpath compatible games on a CD in MP3 format, this was included with something I bought off Atariage a few years back I think, so when/if I do ever get one I can either use a CD player or transfer the MP3 from it and use an MP3 player to load the games.

Furthermore there was a collection called Worship the Woodgrain (4 cd's I think) that was a large collection of games converted to audio, over half of which could be played directly through the Supercharger and the other half IF you did some kind of mod to the Supercharger. Well, that is all I know about it through some quick searching BUT please if any of you guys actually own one feel free to chime in, correct anything I have stated as I am sure I am either missing some info or made some errors. Also, anything you like to add as far as what you think about the device, do you think it is worthwhile having and any other relevant thoughts thanks.

Lol.  INTV1 is on my list!  Although my Odyssey2 will likely be next, it's another really easy one.  Eventually I want composite out on all of my really old consoles so I can connect them all to a huge switch box that I'll make and have them all ready to play without having to swap connectors.

    Super simple.  You should!

Decided to take a break from renos tonight to finally do a quick AV mod on my Colecovision.  Looks and sounds great!

I used the Ben Heck method here: http://benheck.com/Games/Coleco/Video_Mod.htm

REALLY simple, all said and done took me about 30mins.

Atari ST is definitely under appreciated! It had a lot of Mac features for a fraction of the price. That's why they called it a Jackintosh!
