Not a trade, but a purchase from @RickR.
A couple replacement carts and one I've never owned before (Othello).
These arrived four days ago, but I'm only just now getting around to share it.

It is probably the RF switch. Try getting a coax adapter. I think AtariAge sells them for only a couple bucks. Otherwise you can put together a makeshift one with parts from your local hardware store, like I did.
Though my woody had very similar problems when I got it and none of my cartridges worked on it. I opened it up and it was super corroded. Someone spilled Coke or some other dark pop in there many years ago. There was a high-pitched sound on the black screen as well. I scrubbed away at the board with baking soda, alcohol and vinegar for a long time to get all the gunk off. It took a while, but it paid off and my woody works now. That's probably why my dad's cousin had that other Atari 2600, a vader model.
Could you Intellivison perhaps have some corrosion on it?
Possibly?
Seems unlikely, though. That thing is CLEAN, at least on the outside. I think it was barely ever used, as evidenced by still having the original box and everything.

Try cleaning the carts. Q-tips and alcohol - clean the pins on top and bottom.
That NES RF adapter requires a strong signal to work, so I would also try something different on that end.
I did think maybe it the RF switch, so I bought a RF to coax adaptor cord off Ebay to see if that would work.

So, I got a box of 11 INTV games in a lot off Ebay that arrived in the mail yesterday, bringing my collection total back up to 23 games.
Five of the games had no label, so I pulled out my boxed INTV to check the mystery carts out.
I only have an NES RF switch available currently, so I used that to connect the INTV to my HDTV.
Anyway, long story short, not a single one of 23 game carts would display a picture. All I got was a very nice, clear black screen on channel 4, and nothing but static on channel 3.
Is an NES RF switch just not compatible, or is it possible my INTV is busted?

Yes. Please PM me if you'd like to buy or trade. Thanks.
Will do. First I gotta check to make sure I don't already have Chopper Command, because I'm not sure anymore.

I don't have a 3DS. Looking at videos of the game, it looks cool. I have the Flintstones BurgerTime game, though. 🙂 I like that this Deluxe game gets colorized on the GBC and GBA.
Seconding.
Definitely get a 3DS. The system is on its way out, prices are dropping, games are plentiful, and this is probably the best time ever to start collecting for it.
It's my favorite Nintendo handheld.

@Justin The person who sent me the box of Atari games and the 2600 Jr. was @Scott Stilphen.
He sent it back in December.

That was very nice of them @LeeJ07 ☺️ We have very generous Members here. If you can remember who sent you this nice Atari 2600 Jr. setup and games please let us know so they can be acknowledged for their kindness
I'll take a look at the thread I posted last year about the fire. It was one of the commenters there that sent the 2600 Jr. and games.

That is a nice setup you have, Lee. Very nice. It's been about a year since that happened but it looks like your collection is coming along nicely. I have a Wii and have thought about upgrading to a Wii U a time or two. I've also thought about adding a PS3 to the mix. Those are the only 2 consoles I'm after and then I'm done collecting hardware. After that it would be only about the games. Unfortunately I would have to order them of the internet for the most part because we lost our GameStop. We have no other local used game store. I've thought about starting one but I don't want to have to sacrifice my collection.
Definitely get a Wii U. It's a genuinely great console.

That's nice. I'll always prefer the Vader though 🙂
I got my first two 2600s a few months ago. They were both broken, but luckily I was able to fix them. They came from my Dad's cousin who was getting rid of them. They came with a bunch of cool stuff, like a ton of games (mostly CIB & mint), comics, catalogs, and this cool ET poster. I have been emulating the games on my wii for nearly a decade, however.
I had a bunch of Atari catalogues and manuals before the fire. All destroyed.

I can't even imagine. I'm so sorry.
You should use that wii for emulation. It's pretty good at everything below ps1. I also applaud you for choosing the red color. I have a black one, GameCube backwards compatible too.
This is my shelf. I've picked up a few import items this time around I never owned before.

That's sad. One of my biggest fears has always been a housefire.
Yeah, 95% of my collection was destroyed September 23rd of last year.
Only my Switch and 3DS libraries were saved because I was able to easily grab them in time.
I've only replaced about 65% so far.

Your setup is very much improved! I'm happy to have found one of the 8 other Wii U owners!
Yeah, that's my second Wii U. The first was sadly destroyed in the fire last year.

Yea, the Famicom, while basically an NES, actually uses a slightly different Power Supply than we do here in the USA. That original power supply is only rated for 100 volts. American standard power outlets provide 120 Volts. You'll fry the adapter and the Famicom if you try using that.
Power Supplies that will work with your Famicom are model 1 Genesis adapters. I've even heard of some using a power supply from a Sega Master System. So if you have any adapters that can power those then you could use those on that Famicom. I'm jealous. Nice Famicom! I've been after one for years now. Very nice. Got any games for it?
Yeah, I picked up a separate lot of 10 Famicom games for it that haven't arrived yet.
The picture on the listing shows two Dragon Quest games and what looks like Wizardry, among others.

all power supplies have and INPUT voltage rating and an OUTPUT voltage rating
can you post a clear pic of the power supply you have with this info ?
This is what it came with. Looks like the original adapter.
I was reading online and it said that a regular Sega Genesis Model 1 power adapter can be used instead, without having to purchase a step-down transformer thingy, so that may be what I'll do instead, since I'm too hesitant to use this adapter.

from this: https://www.famicomworld.com/forum/index.php?topic=6933.0
if it's an original power supply from Japan you would need an adapter
DO NOT use an origonal NES power supply as it outputs 10V AC ( not DC power )
great wright-up on power supplies in above link and looks like a neat little unit you have there
A lot of that is really technical, and I'm not sure I understand it all.

Well, the new RF cable arrived, and I tested it.
I got the clearest, most static-free BLACK screen I've ever seen.
I still could not get a picture from a single one of 23 carts.
I'll get some rubbing alcohol when I'm next in town, but I'm really starting to think this thing is a lemon.
