it was great to meet the Atari Creep in person and wished we had a chance to play some of the arcade titles there but the tournament started at the very time he arrived so my attention was drawn away from that.

I did get knocked out the first round even after a first & 2'nd place on the 1'st 2 tables , came in last on 3'rd & 4'th table , the very last table, Dracula, underscoring by a mear 130,000 ( Pop bumpers are 10K each) ... but that is how these things go "it IS pinball"

I stayed til the arcade closed, had the food that was provided & enjoyed the day especially meeting up with another in this community.

    lookin' forward to the video

This was a cabinet I did for Free Play Florida for Todd.  Todd's a great friend of mine and the show and he loves kaboom too, so I figured what the heck i'll make a cabinet out of it for him.  Amazing how many corners of the interwebs this cabinet has made it's way to!

You ever have one of those days where you find so much good junk, you just can't believe it?  That was today for me.
The 5200 joysticks are in very nice shape.  I'll bet the buttons need work, but that will be a fun project. Another Scooby Doo plug and play -- this one with the game key slot -- for $1 A Scooby Doo Wii game CIB for $1 (Jinky's!) A really bad condition laptop -- I always wanted one of these 12" Dell's, and this was only $3.  It will be fun to see if it works, and possibly fix it up. 3 Microvision games A boxed TI computer (yes, the tan model is not ideal...but the price was right). A couple of C64 carts. It was so weird to see the 5200 joysticks and C64 games just sitting there on the shelf at Goodwill.  I can't say I've ever seen them before in years of hunting.

So here's the games I received in a trade with Ballblazer:

    Center game: Adventures of Tron

Also got a box for the Defender II:

I'm very geeked to finally have a copy of Stargate/Defender II back in my collection! I had this one as a kid, and played the heck out of it even though I wasn't very good at it. I just loved the pace and the graphics, it was a lot of fun!

Another interesting note: this trade puts me over the 200 individual titles mark for the 2600! (201 to be exact) Still have a long way to go, but very exciting!

I figured I would sum up a little about the expo for you guys.    First of all, we spent 22 hours behind a vendor booth this weekend and we're exhausted, but its a good tired!     We vastly underestimated how much we would sell, which is a nice problem to have.   We united a lot of people with new consoles and games.   One guy picked up a couple of NES games from us that had Funcoland sleeves I got from a trade with Mr. StormSurge...he declared this to be the highlight of his weekend based on those sleeves alone.   Another kid, maybe 7 or 8 years old found a Scholastic Book about Pokemon in our dollar bin and literally shook with excitement.   While his dad talked to us about his voracious appetite for reading (he had spent the expo reading every word on every pinball and arcade machine at the show) the kid had already devoured a good 10-15 pages.   Ah, the joys of a one dollar sale.  We also had a great Burgertime family that enjoyed some quality time on our Intellivision before her cosplay contest.   She was kind enough to pose for a picture after she won a trophy for her Peter Pepper costume.

It was a different way to enjoy the expo, as I had VERY little time to play games or go to see speakers.  All we could really do was watch people enjoy themselves, and talk about great gaming memories with our awesome customers.

Here's a quick walk through Jennifer was able to film with our booth at the very end.  Sorry about the quality, it's a phone vid.

I didn't get a big pile of neat stuff unfortunately.   There were only 3-4 of us selling retro games, and one was a guy who's shop is literally 10 minutes from my house.   Very little older stuff there, a smattering of Atari, even less Intellivision and Coleco.   As usual it was mostly NES and later stuff.    On the other end of the spectrum, I brought a LOT of Atari, INTV, Coleco, and sold relatively little of it.
