My favorite version of the original Pac-Man is the port to the Atari 2600. Something about it is so interesting to me. I think it plays well too.
I can’t explain why, but I just adore it! It’s my favorite 2600 game, behind the phenomenal Tunnel Runner of course.

I actually finally found one last month. It is a version of this one for Twilight Menu ++. Thanks anyways, Marco.

I am not sure how I can complete the challenge with my SNES gone. I guess I will have to go back to the Switch.
Did I mention that I hate my mother? I’m not as pissed as I otherwise would be; at least they’re in a box in my closet instead of hers. Still pretty honked off though.

A formidable opponent.
I beat @Justin’s time by just a fraction of a second. 2’21”81.
@socrates63 was right. Confidence is key.

You should try it! I have been on the waiting list for this game for one year exactly tomorrow. Apparently it arrived in October. My parents did a very good job hiding it from me!
You should try it, @RickR. It is different, but very fun. Graphics are like Bomberman, which makes sense given that Hudson ported the game to the system.

Happy Atari Day! Now you can all play the cool Atari games you got at Christmas. Or at least I can.

Leave it to the Rudolph special to make Santa seem like a real ass!
I vaguely remember watching a Pac-Man Christmas special when I was younger. Pac-Man and all of his Pac-family didn’t know anything about Christmas until Santa crash-landed in their world and taught them about what Christmas was. This special was part of the old Hannah-Barbara cartoon from the eighties. Anyone remember this?

I got a new low time using the same F-Zero cartridge that my ancestor used back in college!

Tonight, we are watching some corny old Christmas specials. Santa Claus is Coming to Town, Frosty the Snowman, and more. What are some of your favorites, and which did you see this year. Do you have any fond memories of these? Any kind. I would love to hear them!

Shame HERO has to be so darn expensive. I don’t recall ever playing Cosmic Commuter.

I have yet to listen to Pie Factory. I enjoy listening to @dauber on the 7800 Homebrew Podcast, so why I haven’t tried this one out is a mystery. I will give this a listen soon while waiting for the next episode of 2600 GBG, and maybe even send in feedback for next time.
What are the next games, and where do I send in feedback?

Only true masters use the Fire Stingray! You are all figuring this out quickly.

Funny that you mention the TG-16. I am not very well acquainted with the machine at all. Yesterday, while working on hacking Zerobeat’s Wii, I decided to load up a multi-system emulator on my own Wii U as well. Now I can play TG-16 games for the first time, as well as Lynx, Virtual Boy, and more. Anyone have any good games recommendations? I picked up a few ROMs from past squad challenges here, about four or five total.
And that console looks very cool, @socrates63. It’s ridiculously tiny!

First game via emulation. I don't think I've played this since the early 90s on my cousin's SNES (Pronounced S-N-E-S, never "Snez"). 😂
This is a fairly technical track. A lot of fun! It will be a challenge to shave of 15 seconds and catch @HDN!
I’ve always alternated between what I called it. Mostly, I’ll just say “sness”, “Super Nintendo”, or “Esseniess”.

I have not. Sounds pretty neat. However I'm more interested in how your ripped Wii discs onto a USB drive and then get them to load on a modded wii.
Fun fact: Since my birthday in 2011 when I got my Wii, I have gotten only two more physical Wii discs. One was Deadrising, which was for my dad to play at the time, and I still haven't played it because it doesn't look fun. The other was Puzzle Challenge, which I got for free at a garage sale.
Back in the day, we would go to Family Video (our local video store which lasted a surprisingly long time until it closed a few Atari Days ago) and rent some games for the Wiikend (see what I did there?). Then what we would do was put the game in the system, load up a program called Configurable USB Loader, and then select the option to rip the disc to the hard drive. Don't tell Nintendo!
It is much, much easier to rip discs to the Wii than to find usable disc images online. At least for me, I couldn't find any good sites. So for this project I copied the games from my hard drive (I had to pick and choose because of limited space) using another program called WiiBackupManager.
If you're interested, check out the GBATemp forums. It is a very good resource.

No. Fixing the drive is most likely not possible. Replacement is. Replacement drives on ebay are about $20 shipped. IMO it's not worth the effort. Just use them as modded emulation stations as you've done.
That makes a lot of sense. You could also set up USB loaders if you want so you can play Wii games.
Have you heard of this program called Nintendont (for some reason spelled without the apostrophe)? What it does is that it will unlock GameCube functionality for later-revision Wiis and Wii Us. It will even emulate memory cards and let you use either standard Wii controllers (like the Classic Controller or Wii Mote and Nunchuck) or use the Nintendo USB GameCube controller adapter. These newer Wii machines still can't read the discs, so you'll need to either rip the original discs to a USB device or SD card using an older-revision Wii or add some disc images online. It's a very neat program and worth looking into.

I’m currently softmodding @Zerobeat2004’s Wii, as I previously mentioned. Turns out the system has a bad disc drive as well! This seems to be common as I see this stuff everywhere. I asked him about it, and he says that he hasn’t been able to properly play games on it for a couple of years now. I added a few USB loaders, so now he won’t have to worry about that good-for-nothing drive. I have to use my personal Vader-Wii (whose drive functions) to rip the game disks to flash drives, and then hook up the other Wii and plug the drives in. It’s cumbersome, but as always I’m having a lot of fun softmodding something again.
Anyways, that reminded me of this old post. @RickR— did you ever get that drive fixed? Just a little curious, don’t mind me!

For me, the best thing is that it saves space. I don't have to have a bunch of cartridges out
I love the feeling of a bunch of 7800 cartridges myself! Still, the Concerto cart is hella cool. I assume it handles POKEY?
I see that it came with a nice new shell and label. That’s nice. Pole Position II gets to see another day.

You have a piano in the game room too? Do you play?
I took lessons once but could never do well at it. My sister loves the thing though. I find the guitar is much better for me.
