Recently, I've been on a knockoff Aldi Frank's RedHot kick. We need a knockoff Aldi catchphrase as well: I place that feces on all items!

Cilantro will always be one of my favorite flavors. Whenever I get Mexican street tacos or something I make sure to pile that sky-high with cilantro and onions, and then drown it in lime. MMMMM!
But a couple of months ago I found out that to some people, Cilantro tastes like leafy flakes of soap. I don't remember what causes it; if you know please reply down below as that would really help. But I digress. What do you guys think of cilantro?

I just sent @RickR's letter! I had to haul to get to the post office on time! Hopefully he gets it soon and enjoys the album I sent him, Red Rose Speedway! Great trading with you, man!

Starting the morning off right with some Galaxian on my Wii!
I haven't played too much of the 2600 version, though I've always been more of a Galaxian type of guy rather than Galaga. While I don't care for the large spaces between aliens, and the yellow border really evokes some 2600 Carnival vibes, I'd have to say this is a much better port than I remember. I will have to look for it.
Edit: Thanks to Rick, a Galaxian cart may be coming my way! @RickR, thank you! I will respond to your PM once I'm able to post again! (Reached limit because of stupid insomnia)

This is easier to watch than to listen to! 😉
Well, it worked out ok. I surprisingly could recognize most of the games by sound. The most confusing ones were the flight sims.
By the way, that ProLine sure was stubborn to reassemble! Have either you, @nosweargamer, or anyone else here tried putting one back together by yourself? Well, actually, knowing the community here I'm going to guess yes. But seriously! Yeesh.

It's finally done!
Thanks! I will have to pick some of these up. 40 were ranked higher than the only game I own currently (Pole Position II), so I'd better start saving up! But seriously, thanks. This is a great resource for brand-new 7800 collectors like myself. Now if I could only get this stubborn controller clean...
On an unrelated note, I've never much cared for Robotron 2084. It has always seemed empty without the maze element to it. Almost mindless. In Berzerk there is more strategy with Evil Otto, the mazes, the robots, and your inability to fire multiple shots.

I'm afraid this one requires watching as well, unless you can identify games by sound 😁🎵
Oh, do not fret. Basically here's how it works:
*glance over at phone*
Oh, it's Mario Bros!
*scrubs board with toothbrush and alchohol*
*enjoys glorious TIA sound effects*
Rinse and repeat!

Thanks, @nosweargamer! I'm currently cleaning my ProLine controllers and this will be great listening!

@socrates63 You should listen to it. It is very informative. The listener feedback provides a very accurate and multi sided view of the games. I'm partway through the Pete Rose Baseball episode.
By the way, I pronounce it car-ott-eh-ka.

You should totally buy one of those games next. It will help you appreciate all the other games you get later 😄
I'll start counting my pennies now; I'm gonna need all 20 of them!

Now you know what the 7800 is the choice of experts!
Yes, Hat Trick and Karateka. Must-own games, and reasons to buy a 7800!

After a day of owning the system I must say it is excellent. Well worth the money.

He didn't pick the NES or the SMS...he picked the Atari.
Interesting that he did that, but understandable given his preferences.
You talk about the NES having more complex games and the 7800 having more arcadey titles, and that's true. You know how people say the TurboGrafx-16 is a 16-bit console with the heart of an 8-bit console? I feel the 7800 is kind of like that. A 3rd gen console with the heart of a 2nd gen console.

If anyone is wondering this is a 1988 model 7800

Welcome to the wonderful world of the Painline Joystick!
Honestly, I've already gotten used to it. I think it's underrated. Not the best controller by any stretch of the imagination, but decent.
Also: Pole Position II. Great game, terrible pack in. No way it could compete with SMB, or Duck Hunt, or even World Class Track Meet. Not good even for 1984. Should've been Food Fight or Ms. Pac-Man. But I love this game. Not bad, just a poor choice to pack it in on Atari's part.
Thank you all for making this 7800 possible!

Working on the Squad Challenge thing. Not as good at this as I am at the 2600 prequel!

I finally got my 7800 today. It's a bit disappointing that it only came with Pole Position II because they said they'd put a few games with it, but I don't really mind. I like PP2 quite a bit. I wish I had Food Fight though.
I also like the ProLine controllers. I tested them with a few games. It worked good with PP2 and Pac-Man, but not so good with Defender and Tunnel Runner.

It reminds me of those highly unsafe fireworks you buy at the fireworks stands. One of those tipped over once and started shooting the neighbor's garage door. Let's just say that was the last time we ever lit those kind off. Excellent video, though. I need to see if my cousin still has it somewhere.
