Have a 5200 game with no manual?  Fear not!  I have located a large collection of these manuals in PDF format from the Internet Archives, free.  So if you are in need of a manual, click on the link. On the right, under DOWNLOAD OPTIONS, you will see a list of file types.  Click on the PDF link and it will expand to show all the game manuals up for grabs on a per-game basis.  To download the manuals simply click on the game title.

I recently stumbled upon these terrific documentaries from NESComplex. Over the last two weeks I've shared what is in my opinion are some of the greatest NES videos on YouTube covering the inception of Super Mario Bros. and The Legend of Zelda - next let's check out the incredible story of how Metroid came into being and was designed to be as different from Super Mario Bros. as possible! This video is a wealth of knowledge, rich in substance, stories, archival photos and secrets! I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. I will be sharing more in the future:

Welcome to our 113th Squad Challenge!!! For this Atari Jaguar Squad Challenge we're revisiting a game we played this time last year: the Atari Jaguar pack-in title Cybermorph. Every year we like to run bare minimum at least one Squad Challenge for every system in the lineup -- that's why every year you get at least one Sega Genesis game, at least one TurboGrafx-16 game, at least one Atari Lynx game, etc. etc., mixed in with popular and fun titles for the Atari 2600 and Nintendo Entertainment System.
When I woke up this morning (and ever since the beginning of the year) we had a different Jaguar game scheduled for High Score Squad today. I actually had this post almost done! We ran Cybermorph as our first Atari Jaguar Squad Challenge this week one year ago with a respectable turnout, and this year we were going to take things to the next level. I had a decent lineup of Jaguar games in the mix, including smash hits like Tempest 2000, Raiden, Missile Command 3D, and potentially Ruiner Pinball and the Minter Collection. However, not nearly enough of us have Atari Jaguars in our homes ready to play, and even fewer have the same game or easy access to Jaguar Emulation.
So listen up Squad, here's the deal! We're going to be playing Cybermorph again. Are we serving you warmed up leftovers from last Christmas? Hardly. (Cybermorph is top shelf, Vintage 1993!) Cybermorph is a decent game that most Atari I/O Jaguar players have access to. In the meantime Jaguar Squad, LET'S PREPARE FOR NEXT YEAR! You have the next 365 days and counting to get your paws on Tempest 2000, Raiden, the Minter Collection, or Ruiner Pinball.
Last year when we played Cybermorph @Sabertooth won our Squad Challenge, and we had a decent little turnout for the Jag with @btbfilms76 @Justin @Gianna @RickR and @socrates63 joining Sabertooth in the action! Let's see if we can get everyone back together this year, and invite other Squad members like @CrossBow and @Atari 5200 Guy to join us who might also have access to this game! Will Sabertooth take the top spot again, or will a new challenger rise!?
Cybermorph came packed in with the Atari Jaguar upon it's release, and despite there being more "killer apps" on the Jaguar that eclipse Cybermorph in gameplay and graphics, it remains one of the Atari I/O Team's favorite games to play at Christmas time. Nothing gets me ready for winter like the sound of Cybermorph, the crackle of logs in the fireplace, making holiday meals, and hearing DS9 coming on TV in the other room. @btbfilms76 hosted a Holiday Special featuring Cybermorph which we will share below as an introduction to the game.
Begin your game with the Default "Select Destination" Screen, which uses Access Code 1008. You can start with any world on that screen you'd like, and play through the worlds in any order you choose. Cybermorph was developed alongside the Atari Jaguar (and initially Atari Panther) and was released in November of 1993. For many gamers, Mario 64 was their first introduction to a 3-D open world. For those of us who grew up with the Jaguar through, we got to experience this three years earlier with Cybermorph. The Jag isn't as common as, say the 2600, and emulation support is essentially non-existent. It may be difficult for some of you to join in this Squad Challenge and participation may be lower than we'd like. But for those of you with an Atari Jaguar, Cybermorph is one of the most common games released for the system, so we're playing a game that most Jaguar players will have already gotten their paws on. Instructions are provided below. Good luck to everybody participating! Where did you learn to fly?

NOTE: Our next Squad Challenge will be the 2021 F-ZERO Christmas Challenge for Super Nintendo! Be there!

Congratulations to @Dinobot711 on becoming our new Sonic Spinball Squad Champion! Dinobot711 scored the top spot on our Final Standings with 24,687,000 points! What a killer score, and @AtariSphinx was right on his tail -- almost beating him with a high score of 24,377,500 points to decisively take our 2nd Place spot! @greenween returns to Squad with an incredible 15,562,500 points to claim 3rd Place in our Final Standings. "The Don" @RickR takes 4th Place with 11,872,500 points, and @Sabertooth showed up with a solid 5,427,500 to take 5th Place! Thanks to everybody for joining in this Squad Challenge and sharing your terrific high scores!
Also, this week we once again welcomed back the "Original Mayor" of Atari I/O and absolute High Score Squad legend @greenween who joined us for this Challenge! Old-timers may remember @greenween is an "I/O OG" who joined us in the Summer of 2014 along with @RickR @Sabertooth @Atari Creep and a few others who were active as soon as the new Forums went online, and became the heart of the party in the chat and in our earliest Squad Challenges. It's great to have you back in the Forums participating in High Score Squad @greenween and as an active member of the community you helped influence from its earliest days! WELCOME!!
Also sad news about @Atari Creep's laptop which prevented him from joining us for this Squad Challenge. What is a Sega Squad Challenge without @Atari Creep!?! Hopefully this works out for the best soon.
As always I'd like to encourage @Dinobot711 to post his high score on the Scoreboard, and let's make sure this Challenge continues on! Congratulations to Dinobot, and a big congratulations to our community for being such a great group to spend time with, I hope everybody had fun playing a game on Sega Genesis!
NOTE: Our next High Score Squad Challenge is for the Atari Jaguar! Be there!

I also just bought all this Atari 5200 stuff from the Salvation Army for $67 shipping included. The description says that the 5200 powers on but they have no game to test it with. I have a feeling it is working. Included are 2 CX52s, a Wico 5200 controller plus a powersupply!

Not sure if anyone here even knows who Trevor was. He was my absolute favorite actor, comedian, musician, and local sexpot. Founder of The Whitest Kids U Know, Which I consider the greatest sketch comedy ever made. He passed away on August 7th of this year at the age of 41. He was a major part of my life. We used to have WKUK parties when a new season would start. Just wanted to say something about him.
