Funny thing is, he proclaims himself a fair journalist and says "It is time gaming journalism takes its rightful place as proper sources and not fanboys giving free advertising." I acknowledge the Lynx was mishandled and didn't ship as many units as Game Boy. If you disagree or take issue with his article, or demand that reporting be honest and accurate instead of sensationalized clickbait does that make you a "fanboy"?
 
 

That really was my only point. And the insinuation that a nice big eye roll would make you a fanboy ticked me off in the context of the AVP Lynx article.

My issue isn't AVP, it's a fantastic looking game. My issue with the article is the claim that Lynx "was a horrible failure for the company". It wasn't the incredible success Game Boy was but I think it's pretty dramatic to say it was a "horrible failure".
 
AVP would have been an incredible release. Much respect to the creators of the game and those who unearthed new prototypes

Cleanup has started!  These things are really really filthy.  But the dirt is coming off pretty easy with just a gentle/careful scrub.  The joystick is probably the most interesting item.  It appears to be a "Gim Electronics Fire Command".  It's really heavy with an all metal base.  I think it may be pretty rare.  No idea on worth or even it it works yet. 

"The Big Gamble".  I got this bundle, which the guy said he found in a barn.  Well, it's very dirty, so I believe it.  No power adapters.  Will any of it work?
 
To tell you the truth, I bought it mostly for the 1030 Modem and the 850 interface.  I had a 1030 back in the day, but sold it to help pay for the SX-212 upgrade (300 baud to 2400, I think).  Regretted selling it, as the 1030 looks really cool.  I never had an 850, and really have no purpose for it.  I just think it will look really great next to the other "brown" 400/800 stuff I have collected.  I don't really care if these work or not.  I just hope they clean up nicely.
 
By the way, if anyone has or comes across power adapters for any of this, please let me know.

Look for one called "Gotcha!".  It is awesome according to my memory banks.

Man, some good ones here.  I'll buy another round for all. 
 
On the bright side, it does feel a little better to type these up to share.  Helps let them go.

It works great on the Retron 3.  I assume that's not unexpected.  In any case, it's a cool game!  Thank you to whomever put it in the box.
