These discs are something.  They are HUGE.  And you have to flip them mid-movie!  But the covers are fantastic.  Like old record album covers.

Today I found these laser disks (Pioneer) for $2 each.   I don't have a player, and I hear they are pretty finicky anyways...but I couldn't resist.  Also a couple of Playstation AV cables for $0.50 each.

I've got an ST, and it's a great computer with lots of fun games.  Kicked butt over the Macintosh at that time...color screen for a lower price.  Coolest feature (IMO): it uses plain old Atari 2600 joysticks for games.

There are many spectacular paddle games to try.  And it's such a unique control that doesn't emulate well, it is totally worth playing them on real hardware.  Good luck with your repairs, and I'm here if you need any tips. 

The black gunk is conductive grease that dries up and becomes non conductive over time.

I don't know if you have "AstroBlast", but if you do, try that one with paddles. 

YES!  And it is SPECTACULAR.  You'll look at the Intellivision version with disdain once you try it.  Take THAT George Pimple-ton.

I tried the auto 3 pointer, but I can't get the hang of it.  Maybe make it 50% of the time.  Still got beat by computer.  Sigh.

I got this in the mail today from rowsdower70. He said he was thowing in something extra. I never would have imagined it was going to be a box. I still feel bad i didnt throw in anything extra for you.
