  1. Here is that link. https://www.lego.com/en-us/dimensions/products
  2. Its also for Wii U, XBOX One, and PS4. I also think there is a PC and smart device version but not sure on that. I will explain it best as I can. For starters, there are various worlds you can visit in the game. All games have a basic set of levels you will go through as part of the main story including Wizard of Oz & Simpson's. Picking up extra packs opens up those characters and/or worlds in the game. For example; the Ghostbusters Level Pack gave me access to a Ghostbusters level, a character, ghost trap, and the Echo-1. The interactive part comes from building. As soon as you get them you can build the characters right away. Once on the game's platform you then get to use that character anywhere in the game. Each character has traits and skills required to access parts of every world. The rest of your pack is built as you acquire them in the game at which point the game gives you the building instructions. For example; I couldn't build the Echo-1 until I found the parts in the game first even when I had the physical parts in front of me. Everything in the game has the visual appearance of being built with LEGOS. The storylines are comical and family friendly. The game is an adventure game with puzzles to solve, bosses to fight, and other things. There is Wiki just for the game and packs seem to be based on well-known franchises like E.T., Back To The Future, Sonic, and more. If you want to learn more check out the official website. Check local stores and see what you can find. You might find some marked down like I did. A $70 starter set for $12 is a huge discount.
  3. Last night I found LEGO Dimensions at our local Wal-Mart for $12. $12! I have not actually played with LEGOS since my late teens and know basic sets cost more than $12. Games alone can cost more than that. I grabbed the 360 version but all other platforms were on clearance as was So I get home, unbox the game, platform, and Starter Set containing Batman, Gandoff, and Wyldstyle. I connect the base to the 360 and insert the game disc hoping for a miracle. Nope...2GB download required! So I wait patiently while looking at the parts and manual. All of a sudden I get blinded. The game has been fun and getting to actually build models used in the game gives a whole new level of interactivity. I'm hooked and hope to pick up more packs while Wal-Mart still has them. I went back last night and did pick up Ghostbusters level pack and Gremlins team pack. I recommend this to those who remember LEGOS and have children or grandchildren as I can see this being a great bonding tool. Its also kind of a stress therapy tool.
  4. So far I'm loving it. Makes me want to add a model space shuttle to the game room. Never thought about that Crossbow. And since my Junior's TV Type switch is not too good I can use that other switch as well. Good call.
  5. Thanks, NSG! I got the bottom card. Now if I can just print out that middle overlay. I have some black poster board I could paste it to. My hat off to the developer and Activision on this one. Who would have thought the 2600 could do something like this?
  6. Got the manual, box, and cheater card. Just missing the overlay. I'm having fun but the game has no patients while I am trying to read the manual as I go. Beautiful manual. It's a shame that they don't make quality products like this any more. Do we still have a space program here in the states?
  7. This sounds like a book no A8 owner would want to be without. And I am already loving the example pages! I would have to go with a hardback edition personally. Since this is about the Atari 8-bits, are you going to include the XEGS as well? It is an 8-bit computer at heart. Also...are going to include games just in the UK or are you going to include those in the US and other countries as well? Some regions got games that others didn't. Good Luck!
  8. Happy father's day to Atari I/O dads!

  9. Trying Space Shuttle for the first time tonight. I have my cheater board in front of me resting on my VCS. But I don't have the overlay that goes over the switches and the instructions are not clear which position to put the switch to on off shuttle functions. I figured out the primary engines and cargo bay doors but have not been successful in docking with the satellite I'm suppose to rendezvous with. I'm doing flight 2 because I kind of want a bit of the full experience but this game is tough...but fun. Has anyone else been successful at this game? Any one have any pointers? Good thing this isn't real or I'd be joining the stars.
  10. Now that I think about it. Every new console after the Atari 5200 I received was either a Christmas or birthday gift until the 32-bit era came along. All Atari stuff, less line XEGS and Lynx, were Christmas gifts. Games, too. I remember having a PlayStation and at least 10 games. Most of those games are considered best on the system now. Where I lived at the time there was a game trading store called Game X Change. I walked in and seen the Jaguar and Lynx stuff and went mental. I went home, gathered up all my PlayStation stuff, and traded it in for a Lynx II, a few games, and the large padded case...plus a power supple and I still had some credit left over. All Lynx stuff was new in the box. I left at Moms house and when she passed her house got ransacked before I could go and retrieve my belongings. They didn't take the Saturn that was there. Go figure.
  11. Wow. You have two grounds going on here which I didn't catch before. The ground signal going to the RCAs on the console should be coming from the ground connection where the RF modulator use to be and not the grounding plane for the RF shielding. Your video is proof that when you are touching the mod circuits that it is using you for a ground source. An RF shield over the board where it is suppose to be would clear most of that up. Also of note...it is a big no-no to run a 2600 without that shield for one reason...static electricity. During a testing phase of the four switch 2600s, Atari discovered that any static discharge from human hands when they touched any of the four metal switches could fry the circuitry inside...namely RIOT, 6502, and/or TIA. There is suppose to be two thin metal strips to avoid static. One thin strip for the POWER and TV TYPE switches and the other for the GAME SELECT and RESET switches. The thin metal foil-like strips have adhesive on the bottoms and grounds those switches to the RF shield. You can still get those new but I am not sure about the shield. I would bet putting those on there would solve this problem.
  12. All of my duplicates have been donated. If I get more I will post them here.
  13. And I signed up to Intellivision Entertainment. First 100,000 to sign up get a chance at an exclusive console. I'm already excited about this.
  14. I had four, yes four, Intv systems from Goodwill auctions. While I loved the console and games the controllers were a different matter. Those fire buttons are a nightmare. I would support Tommy's efforts before I would pre order the Ataribox. Tommy loves video games too much not to succeed. I see a console war repeating itself. Atari vs Intellivision.
  15. Am I the only one that noticed Ted passed on Atari Day? I believe I will be commemorating him on every Atari Day from here on out by playing more Atari games.
  16. Honestly, there are five or six mini arcades by My Arcade that just landed at our Walmart I would rather spend my money on collecting. Burger time, Pac-Man, Dig Dug, Bad Dudes, Galata, and one more that sound far more interesting to me than these. I'll pass.
  17. Upsetting. Seen the news this afternoon. Thank you, Mr. Dabney, for your contributions. You will be missed.
  18. I do remember in high school our computer class getting subscriptions to Computer Shopper. I owned a CoCo 3 and 386 at the time and would look through those mags for anything to help spruce up my 386. I stuck with local businesses for upgrades but used the mag to figure out what was available and to keep up with new upgrades and computer builds. It was a computer bible in many ways.
  19. The 2600 I collect and enjoy now. I had a few growing up long after the crash but I didn't give it a fair chance and parted with them almost as soon as I got them. I have a lot of respect for it now and almost every game I have for it I like...almost.? So, for me personally, the 2600 would have to be my choice for this topic. Almost every other known console I had and enjoyed spiritually. NEO GEO was for the rich then and is still for the rich now. I never had, nor played, that console other than the stand up arcade.
  20. I've been thinking about adding the Inty 2 to my arsenal of gaming gear...not sure yet. I didn't like the controllers much but I do like the looks of the second console.
  21. I have nothing against emulators. It was emulators that reminded me of the games I enjoyed and introduced me to games I missed. Because of those my starts of wanting to collect those games and systems was ignited. My only issue with Jaguar emulators...not a one is 100% accurate. There are one or two decent ones but at the time of this writing this is one where emulation comes close but misses. However, given the number of Jag units left, and knowing these systems can fetch a hefty price, emulation would be easier to obtain.
  22. I use to subscribe to Nintendo Power up until Howard left as editor. From the stands it depended on what articles were in each issue. I regularly bought Tips n Tricks and Video Games and Computer Entertainment. I would sometimes buy Electronic Gaming and GamePro. When Dreamcast came out I heavily invested in the Official Dreamcast Magazine with a disc full of demos of what was to come.
  23. I use to collect NP, Sega Visions, EG, Tips and Tricks, and my personal favorite Video Games and Computer Entertainment. I got Atari Age once in a while during the Eighties. I never knew of Electronic Games until recently.
