I'll make it a point to get a few more rounds of SMS "R-Type" in this afternoon.  For Atari Day!  Because playing classic games is GOOD for the soul.

I'm thinking about the Sesame Street Kids Controller games for a 2 year old, but even Ms. Pac-Man or Asteroids could be fun. I'd like to hear a success story!

Well, my kids were, but I don't think this counts as they are adults now.  90's kids. 

They liked playing Atari with Dad.  And they had fun.  But to be completely honest, they got a lot more mileage out of the educational computer games of the time and then kids games on Gameboy.  More polish and better graphics made them a lot more interested.  I had a Dreamcast at the time, but they only liked the racing games (like Hydro Thunder).  Gamecube for them was their golden console.  Everything took off from there. 

I wasn't playing 2600 games when my kids were little. They actually grew up watching me play Halo on the PC. I got both my sons Nintendo DS as their first console when all their friends had one.

By the time I got back into Atari games, my kids were teens and very turned off by the blocky graphics and limited sound. Anything they deemed old was not cool in their eyes. They even asked me why I watch old movies when they saw me watching Indiana Jones or Star Wars.

As soon as I'm done kicking some dungeon @ss in the Venture: Reloaded challenge.  🙂

I just got my computer back from being serviced. New solid state hard drive, doubled the RAM, looking good! I need to install some of my programs and get up and running again. Then I'll be able to post the wrap-up and the new Squad Challenge. Will happen TODAY! Stay tuned!

Let's see that wiring.  I'm always interested to see how others set up their gaming systems.  Example, here's the RF switchbox I've been using.  It does a nice job, but I sure do have a lot less RF systems than I used to.  Only two at the moment.  At one point, it was maxed out.  But a lot of systems sold, some of them had the composite mod, and now...only two.

We've been watching a lot of movies lately.  The selection last night was the third X-Men movie.  It was kind of a stinker, but entertaining to watch.  There was one very funny scene that went by in a flash -- Colossus carrying a gigantic CRT TV under one arm very casually at Professor X's school. 

That little girl will remember and cherish that moment for the rest of her life, guaranteed.  Kids remember loved ones spending time with them doing anything.  I know I still do.

My wife and I have an "adopted" daughter who has kids which we have "adopted" as our grandchildren.  The oldest one at age 4 played Frogger on my 2600.  To this day she still remembers that and she's 11 now.  We now play Minecraft (her favorite) when they come to visit.  All of the grandkids visited us around the end of February and the five kids all played a video game of some sort.  The NES was out, the 7800 was hooked up, the 360 got some playtime, even the 5200 seen some game time.

Aww man...you're passing up spring break?  Lol.  Will have to get others involved in some high score battles.

@kamakazi20012 good idea! Maybe next week you and I can challenge other members to 2-Player Battles...

Any update on obliterating the virus warning?  Anything we can do to help?
