  1. For me, Lucasarts (renamed at the time these were released) will always be the Indiana Jones SNES and Super Star Wars people. Two great childhood games I never got far in. I should play those again.
  2. @socrates63 Just chilling and listening to a podcast. I'm heading out early for a fishing trip tomorrow. Well, early in Harry time that is! Yeah, but I'm doing good. Just took a Benedryl for my allergies (always terrible at this time of year) so I won't be awake for long, even if I tried!
  3. Hey, @Duckie25! Welcome to the I/O! Glad to have you here. Atari 2600 is a great system to collect for. All the good games are common and cheap. I bet you won't have much trouble building your collection!
  4. Similar thing with Pac-Man. Who makes more copies of a game than consoles in homes? Truly idiotic.
  5. I love old Atari manuals. I am so blessed to have my 2600's previous owner save all of this stuff. So fun to read this stuff.
  6. Ok then! Let's stay hush-hush about it until it's done! Be sure to post it somewhere! And remember: SHHHHHHHHHHHH!
  7. I can see how people could say it's horrible... If they hadn't read the manual. Just read it! Not that hard after you do.
  8. @nosweargamer A project you say? Is this a secret project (shhh)?
  9. Orange crush is probably my favorite orange pop. Sometimes I feel like Sunkist. Fanta is kind of in the middle where I never am in the mood for it but it's alright.
  10. Hey, @nosweargamer, do you have rankings of your 7800 games somewhere on this site?
  11. You know, over the past few days, ET has really grown on me. Thank you all for showing me.
  12. I mostly drink diet as well, but this is one of only a few regular sodas I'll drink as there's no diet option that I know of. I like to try the weirder sodas sometimes. Nothing against regular stuff; I just think diet tastes better.
  13. Dude, they make pineapple Fanta? I've had the pineapple Faygo stuff before at gas stations, but I didn't know Fanta made it as well.
  14. Not so much the sugar. I don't really care to be honest. I just like how the diet stuff is thinner and less sticky. When I drink the regular stuff it somehow makes me thirstier.
  15. Orange pop is amazing. I'll always prefer the diet stuff though. I know I'm going to get dementia before I'm 30, but it's worth it. Diet pop is my true love.
  16. They're giving me homework before school even starts. Splendid.

Starting sophomore year of high school, actually, but I'm taking AP History.

  17. I played some Haunted House today. A lot better than I gave it credit for. I can see how it could be in someone's top ten for so long. Wow, all my opinions are changing today.
  18. Played ET again today. Honestly not near as bad as I remembered.
  19. Awesome, @nosweargamer! I guessed it! The GemStik is special to me as it's the first Atari controller I ever fixed. It was unresponsive and the rubber coating thing was coming off. Not my favorite, but a good second player controller. Has a nice button. Sadly, it seems my 7800 won't be coming today either. They HAVE it, so that's good, but they need to test it or whatever. I won't be able to play on Atari Day, but I WILL be able to play it tomorrow and Japanese Atari Day (28th, 2800)!
  20. Someone should make a sticker of @socrates63's head. I'd put that on all my Atari consoles, including the 7800 when I pick it up hopefully later today.
  21. If you were to hold the controller like you were playing it, in the upper right corner there's that white pixel line. There's no equivalent to that on the standard Atari-brand controller. Plus, those little pixels around the joystick look like they might be the white arrows on the GemStik. And there looks to be that the plastic around the button is bulging out a bit. Much like the GemStik. Here's a picture I took at roughly the same angle and distance:
  22. Well, I've never played any of them, but since they seem to be more or less identical to their NES counterparts I'll go with Mario Brothers. It seems a bit faster on the 7800 from videos I've seen, but mostly the same. I'm a huge Mario Bros. fan.
