jmjustin6 Posted October 21, 2018 Report Posted October 21, 2018 Goodwill was good to me today! This is now my cleanest super Nintendo. Still need to clean it a little more for it to be perfect. RadioPoultry, TrekMD, LeeJ07 and 1 other 4 Quote

jmjustin6 Posted November 3, 2018 Report Posted November 3, 2018 Forgot to post this but about 2 weeks ago I found this Uforce at goodwill for $5! chas10e and LeeJ07 2 Quote
LeeJ07 Posted November 3, 2018 Report Posted November 3, 2018 (edited) Not Goodwill. This is my modest haul from today's citywide garage sale. DK Bongos for the Gamecube, Fable: The Journey for Xbox 360, and Jade Empire for the Xbox. The white computer-like device on the left is a V-Tech Smart Start Speller from the mid to late '80s. I especially like that faux floppy disk drive it has. The black thing on the right that looks like a calculator is a Unisonic 21 "Jimmy the Greek" Blackjack game/calculator, from 1977. As the picture shows, it still mostly works, but some of the keys appear to be broken. I believe it's now the oldest handheld in my collection. LeeJ07 Posted November 5, 2018 Report Posted November 5, 2018 As promised, here is a picture of my great find from earlier today. It's a Coleco Telstar Classic Pong console, CIB, with instruction manual and original power cord. I got the whole thing for just $20. This is the first Pong Console in my collection. No idea yet if it actually works, though. RickR, RadioPoultry, chas10e and 1 other 4 Quote "I'd buy that for a dollar!" -Smash T.V.
jmjustin6 Posted November 6, 2018 Report Posted November 6, 2018 Nice! Love me a good pong console. The box looks to be in pretty good shape too LeeJ07 1 Quote
RadioPoultry Posted November 23, 2018 Report Posted November 23, 2018 (edited) I found this at Goodwill earlier this month, still sealed: After putting it together, I found it came with this Flappy Bird game already installed: It uses an Arduino Uno microcontroller, which I wasn't familiar with before, but I'm enjoying programming for it. I was hoping to also find some coding projects for this particular kit online, but pretty much all I've found so far are the example projects provided by the company. Right now I'm working on a program inspired by an Apple II game I used to play called "Caverns of Callisto". The 8x8 screen is a bit of a limitation, but that's not about to stop me! Yea I dont plan to get rid of this one anytime soon. The controller is in pretty good shape. The stick is a little loose (7/10) Edited November 30, 2018 by jmjustin6 Quote
Atari 5200 Guy Posted November 30, 2018 Report Posted November 30, 2018 Sticks are easily replaced and not too terribly expensive. We got lucky...our grape one felt barely used. We use it but we are babying it as much as possible. I'm glad we have the usual standard issue N64 to help keep wear and tear off of the grape model. But you got lucky, too. $20 for any colored N64 is a steal. Might as well used the five finger discount card. LOL Quote

jmjustin6 Posted December 11, 2018 Report Posted December 11, 2018 I would say $30 isn't a bad price for a 64 Quote
RickR Posted January 6, 2019 Author Report Posted January 6, 2019 Found these 3 for a grand total of $4.25. Quote
Atari 5200 Guy Posted January 6, 2019 Report Posted January 6, 2019 Wow! An XBOX game! Never played that one before. Will have to let us know what its like. Quote
jmjustin6 Posted January 7, 2019 Report Posted January 7, 2019 Found these 7800 games at goodwill today. They were all wrapped in a stack and had a price sticker of $3.99 on it! Justin, RickR and Atari 5200 Guy 3 Quote
jmjustin6 Posted January 28, 2019 Report Posted January 28, 2019 Goodwill came through again for me today. Awesome find. Sadly it's missing the game. If anyone has the game and case I'd be interested in maybe doing a trade. I've got plenty of stuff nosweargamer, Arenafoot, Atari 5200 Guy and 3 others 6 Quote
jmjustin6 Posted February 2, 2019 Report Posted February 2, 2019 Another great thrift store day. The disc games were $5 each. The nes were $4 each and mario kart was $10. If anyone needs adventure island or mario kart 64 let me know we can work out a trade RickR and RadioPoultry 2 Quote
Atari 5200 Guy Posted February 2, 2019 Report Posted February 2, 2019 Dang. Pikmin games alone are not cheap. Great find. I'm always after N64 games since I only have two but I have nothing up for trades and I'm already committed to another item. Still, excellent finds and a Genny complete in box game or not is a rare find. jmjustin6 and Justin 2 Quote
jmjustin6 Posted February 8, 2019 Report Posted February 8, 2019 Goodwill strikes again. But sadly the wrong game in the wrong case. Justin and RickR 2 Quote
