Ron Howard is 70 today! What is your favorite Ron Howard role? Opie, Steve from American Grafitti, Richie Cunningham, or any multitude of other parts?
-
It's hard not to say Opie, that's such an iconic role. Happy Days is nearly as iconic, as is American Graffiti. I've really enjoyed Ron Howard as a film maker. My "favorite" role honestly has to be as the narrator on Arrested Development as the show would not be what it was without it.
-
Oooh, Arrested Development narrator is a great one that I didn't think of! Nice.
-
My favorite Ron Howard role is probably Richard Cunningham from "Happy Days." Opie Taylor is a close second. I have never seen all of "American Graffiti," so I have no opinion about that one.

I've got a Take-n-Bake pizza in the fridge already for dinner tonight. And not to offend anyone, but it has pineapple on it 🙂 Looking forward to eating dinner in front of the TV tonight, which we do only once in a while.

A secret that shouldn't be so secret: If you have a Genesis Everdrive, create an SMS folder and put SMS ROM files in there. The Genesis is fully backwards compatible with the Sega Master System ROMs and can run them no problem.
-
WOW I had no idea! THANK YOU @RickR! The Master System and Game Gear are very similar - can the Genesis Everdrive run Game Gear games also? Can you run Game Gear games on a Master System Everdrive?

I've been playing more Zorro, and it is an interesting game. It kind of reminds me of "Bruce Lee" in visual style, but it's definitely not as good. It's more of a puzzle solving game, which is fine. But there are issues:
- The music repeats over and over and over. It will get on your nerves.
- Figuring out what to do is not very obvious. I had to refer to on-line guides. How the heck could any casual gamer back then figure any of this out?
- Lots and lots of backtracking. Take this object over there, but you also need this other object, and since you can only carry one at a time....go back and get it.

I'm with you @Justin. In a lot of cases, things now use integrated circuits and very "small" designs, making them hard to repair. But that wasn't the case here. The vacuum has a clearly marked battery compartment. All that was needed was a screwdriver and set of pliers.
I have a lot of these types of "fixed" items in my home just because I love fixing things. It's fun for me and saves things from going to the landfill.
The robo vacuum is fascinating. I've never had one before. It works a lot better than I thought it would. It isn't just a sweeper, it actually does vacuum. I'm sure everyone else already knows all this, but the part that intrigues me the most is how it goes until it's battery runs down and then somehow finds it's way back to the base station to recharge. There must be a radio signal or something to get it back to the right spot. I also really like how it goes into those spots that a normal vac can't reach easily, like under the bed.

Oh it gets more worrisome. The status shows as "delivered" at 5:21pm yesterday, but no sign of the box. I don't think it was stolen, but rather the mail person must have put it in the wrong box. Hopefully, whichever neighbor got it will give it to me today. Fingers crossed!

Saw the other post. Glad you got the GameDrive cartridge. That must have been nerve-wracking waiting for it. Happy for you. :O)

Anyone heard from the No Swear Gamer? I'm a little concerned....
-
It says he hasn't logged in for 8 days. That's not like him. He did have a gameplay video yesterday, but he might've uploaded it a week ago and set it to publish yesterday. I hope he's just on vacation or something.
-
I didn't realize he was MIA. I sent him a PM last night but haven't heard from him.
-
He's a good guy. I hope all is well with him.

Ebay overcharged for shipping on an item I sold. Since the difference was over $5, I gave the buyer a refund of the actual difference. Good idea?
-
Awesome idea. I had eBay to this to me with Argos, kinda. The auction listed the item with a certain shipping amount, but then charged me 3+ bucks more in checkout. Seller refunded it.
-
I've done this before, and past buyers never even left positive feedback. Felt like a sucker kind of. But best to be honest in all aspects of life.
-
I left good feedback. I always leave feedback. I think most sellers do anyway.
