HAPPY BIRTHDAY @StormSurge!!
-
Thanks Lance I'll give those a try! I've never seen the mixers though I'll have to keep an eye out for them. Zevia is wonderful once you give your palate time to adjust to the taste. Very refreshing.

Sweetened with stevia and made with real ingredients, Zevia beverages are refreshing and delicious for any occasion.
Hey that's the pop I drink! I like the Dr. Zevia flavor the best. Cream Soda and Root Beer are also good. I've never seen Zevia Mixer before. What do they mean by mixer is that meant to be mixed with alcohol or can I just drink it like regular Pop?

VERY COOL photos @RickR!! I thought the "Pixar In Concert" photo was especially cool I love when others share photos of their vacations, road trips etc. with us and take us along on their adventures! We're a smaller community here and cool things like this help us get to know each other better. I hope you had a fun time and enjoyed time with your son ☺️

I can't remember if it was Shinobi, Rampage or Space Harrier that I played first. I just recall being very impressed when I first played an SMS in 1989. At the time I had an XEGS so you can imagine how much better the SMS looked and played compared to Atari's repackaged A8.
Absolutely can! One of the first games I played on Sega Master System at my friend's house was F-16 Fighting Falcon. It was my first time seeing a Sega Card. I thought it was one of the coolest things I had ever seen! This was before the TurboGrafx-16 came out. The Sega Cards were less expensive than regular game cartridges and F-16 Fighting Falcon wasn't that impressive of a game, honestly this is one example where the XEGS may have outshined the SMS with Flight Simulator II. But playing video games on something the size of a credit card seemed really impressive. The other thing that stood out to me was using dual controllers to play F-16 Fighting Falcon. My friend and I (we were kids at the time) made a really cool "cockpit" out of cardboard boxes and magic marker. We taped the two Sega Master System controllers to our cardboard cockpit and flew what we thought were the coolest missions. Our cardboard controller beat Nintendo Labo by 30 years.

Great pick for the squad challenge! This is my first time playing this version of Shinobi since at least 1991! My childhood best friend had an SMS and I loved this game.
Shinobi is what introduced me to the Sega Master System. It was the first game I played. I was at a friend's house, and he and his older brother were Shinobi ninja masters. I really loved the Sega Master System, there are a lot of really awesome games on there. I wish we could do a Phantasy Star Squad Challenge. SMS is what opened me up to other systems and made me realize I had a passion for 8-Bit gaming outside of just Atari. It's hard to imagine 1986-1989 without enjoying all of these systems to the max.

Sweet! I love how you did that.
Me too! Super creative and cool! I hope I'm not cramping your style @StormSurge but we may have to use this fantasy draft method from time to time with some of the contests and giveaways we have coming up. Really really neat idea.

XBAND was a multiplayer network and modem for the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis that was released all the way back in 1994! XBAND featured skill based matchmaking, the ability to send and receive email, instant message-like chatting, electronic newspapers, leaderboards, multiple gamer profiles, nationwide stats, and worked by adding network play to pre-existing games like Super Mario Kart, MK, Street Fighter, Madden, NBA JAM, and more! XBAND had more features than XBOX Live did at its launch, and it was all made possible in 1994 for SNES and Sega Genesis consoles (There’s a Saturn version too!). So what happened to XBAND and why wasn’t it a success?
This documentary features new and exclusive interviews with XBAND’s developers, its users, and the team that’s worked to bring XBAND modems back to life so that you can play your 16 bit consoles over the internet today. Join me as we look back at the true start of online console multiplayer networks. This is the Story Of XBAND!

GRay & is in!!
Thanks Justin!
Woops, missed that he was in! That's great news!
23 minutes ago, kamakazi20012 said:I'm not sure. You could ask him. I think he only collects Atari things and I'm not sure what he already has. That much is all I know.
Cool, I think the same goes for BTB. His main interest is Atari 7800, Lynx, Jaguar, plus 2600 and TurboGrafx stuff.

Who else did I forget??
Hmm 🤔 @Marco1019 has been active with us in Wednesday Night Atari Chat lately, he's new here but signed up well before the cut-off. Same for @Mr Toon @Br1ans Man Cave and @atarifan95, maybe they'd like to jump in!
Can't forget @atarilbc!
@GRay Defender has a YouTube channel I really enjoy! He's a longtime member of the forums, I wonder if he'd like to participate in the Giveaway?
@Atarileaf and @Gemini Gamer are both in Canada, but maybe they want to build up their collections and join in?
@kamakazi20012, do you think @BlackCatz40 would want to participate?
@btbfilms76 is directing and acting in a play right now and has been pretty swamped, I will get ahold of him and make sure he sees this.
